Idea for a video: you get two teams of a 2000, 1600, 1200, 800 and 400. The 2000s play the first 5 moves then hand over to the 1600s for 5 moves etc. See if the lower rated players can convert the advantage their teammates built up or if they just blunder mate in two.

This was less a chess game and more a piece of art. It evokes a powerful drama and ends with an underdog win. It was a moving piece, but some might find suspending their disbelief a bit too difficult. Sure, it had it's share of plot holes, but it's a feel good story in the end ;)

The best chess advice I ever got was "if your planning involves the phrase 'I hope my opponent doesn't notice this', plan something else." Meanwhile, beginners don't simplify for the following two reasons: a) they don't know how to simplify RIGHT, and they've learned in the past that doing so leaves them with a knight and a pawn against two rooks and b) the way they win games is by giving checks until they accidentally checkmate. The fewer pieces you have, the less likely that is to happen.
