1:57 Alright it’s nerd time boys and girls, strap in for the ride. That Moby Dick solo is actually from Royal Albert in 1970, why? Well, the drum kit used there was Bonhams Ludwig thermogloss kit which he used from January 1969 to late April 1970. Bonham used his amber vistalite kit during Zeppelins North American tour in 1973, which is where they recorded them playing in Madison Square Garden. Well, that’s all from me, peace out 🤓✌️.

Ringo in 1964 being broadcast to millions deserves a spot And i think the absolute monstruous performance of Neil Peart in "Exit..stage left" through the whole show, but specially in the medley The Trees+Xanadu. Phill Collins's reaching the wolrd with the drum fill from "in the air tonight" also is a big W, bro!

I'm only a few seconds in, but I think you forgot Ringo. Thousands and thousands of people took up the drums because of Ringo.

You are so correct, Brent. I am certainly one of them. As soon as the show was over in February of 1964 I went into the kitchen, grabbed a couple of pots, and a pair of wooden spoons. I later switched out the pots with metal tv trays.❤️

Great thought provoking video, Joey. I have a question about your Cowboy Club support group and how it works. I clicked on the “more” in your description and saw my name and a few different amounts of money. Do I click on an amount? If so, what happens next? Is it a one time click whenever I feel like contributing, or is it an amount taken from my account monthly? I just don’t understand from where my money is taken from.😵💫

I remember Seeing the Wild Side video when I was maybe 11. I knew I wanted to play drums forever.

Tony! I remember being so blown away when that video came out, we would watch that in my group of drum friends soooo much. We lucked out a few years later when he came to the PAS day of percussion in CT and we got to sit directly behind him on his massive drum frame kit for sound check, also Zoro happened to be sitting next to us just giggling at how good Tony was 😊

I may have missed the explanation of your dad’s logo. I got the shirt just cause it’s cool. What’s the story? Thanks.

Gene had much greater chops in his earlier years, amazing Moeller technique, etc. But unfortunately there's very little footage of it. We mostly have footage of him miming along to his own drumming and trying hard to remember what he played in the recording. I recommend checking Gene Krupa out in "follow that music" and the full length movie "holiday hotel".
