... thank you so much - this is exactly what I needed. I am from Germany and over here twirling is not common. Your tutorials already helped me to get some basic moves right (and I love drilling), so especially this flips tutorials is gold to work on my control. I already saw that my "technique" in trying the elbow flip was totally wrong. No wonder it went straight to the floor every time. Cannot wait to try later. Thank you!! (And a personal feedback re. the background music:I do have problems following your videos and sometimes need to skip or take breaks because of the type and loudness of the music. I avoid videos with background music whenever possible because it makes it very hard to follow for me and hurts my brain. I do know, that a lot of people are not bothered by it.)

I have never heard of catch the baton like that. I have always been taught to catch the baton with a flat palm. What does catching the baton in the way you said benefit you?
@AdiTwirls4 жыл бұрын
Hi! Yes! It softens the catch and prevents the baton from bouncing off of the palm while also allowing the baton to follow through!

@Adaline Bebo hey if you don’t mind I need some advice. I’m about to start my senior year of high school, and I’m considering not doing a bun until later in the season with fire. Do you have any ideas?

Hey girl! It really depends on how long your hair is and if you're comfortable twirling in a ponytail! I always found that it made it harder to see (especially while spinning) but another hairstyle I used for awhile was double French braids wrapped around and pinned it tightly! Here is a tutorial for something similar: kzbin.info/www/bejne/e4mvlKGrf7KDp5o - I experimented with it a lot and made sure to practice with the hairstyle before I used it at a competition so that I could be sure my hair was the last thing I worried about! Hopefully this helps! :)

Adaline Bebo personally I was just tired of buns. My flag bestie decided that she was going to give my a faux hawk with a bun since it’s a Styx show! 😂
