I was a massive fan of the Practiced Pirates cultural trait, now they nerfed it to hell and is only usable for dutchie tier realm, and lower. Effectively destroying raiding in its entirety, for any fuedal playthroughs.

There's nothing wrong in being a duke, especially if you become a vassal and modify your contract ib your favor, if you pair it with battlefield looters tradition and/or the norse making a killing legacy, you will get a ton of money from battles too, with the right set of lifestyle perks and march contract, it will also become cheaper to keep maa raised than unraised, basically allowing you to raid kingdoms with no cost even when there's no loot perpetually, the trick is to make your primary duchy and any duchy you want to keep elective, heck, as a duke m with your primary duchy being elective it's basically a designate heir situation, just remember to have only 1 vassal each duchy with the succession rights ticketed on

Thank you for the video! Unfortunately, the tooltip at "Royal Prerogative" says "not available to the Czechs", so that apparently can't work.

Hi, not to be weird but when you typed that I was instantly like oh no i missed something. Booted up the game to test it and... it worked? I didnt see a single tooltip. 1066 - already start with house seniority - speed 5 raised crown authority to level 4 - designated a young child my heir for 1000 - died - worked? Is there something you did differently because otherwise i have no idea why it would work for me and not for you... odd

​@@Hovelax very interesting indeed.. I haven't tried it myself, I just noticed the tooltip in the video. You can see it quite well at around 7:31, when you hover over the royal prerogative invention. Maybe it's just a bug...

​@@Hovelax Ah or probably it means that at that point in time it's not available to the Czechs because it hasn't been invented yet. My misunderstanding, sorry!

@@dszvitez Ah yea! haha - the czechs do not have any of this unlocked in 867 - it certainly is set up to go in 1066 though :)

finding secrets with the first intrigue perk on the left, ritualized friendship, and i think now Grand Weddings all have a chance to get you a strong hook. The grand wedding thing i think requires the dynasty legacy first perk called something like "traditional house_name weddings"
