The woman in the first picture is Maria Louise Cruz. She pretended for years to be native but she was not. Her family, all her sisters, even came out against her pretending. Her mother was Dutch-French and her father was Mexican-Spanish. Her own family history and genealogy research confirmed no native heritage. She had all kinds of fantastical tales she told about her life. Being native was but one of them.
@LovelyLonewolf-mc3ld8 ай бұрын
I thought Mexicans was native people.
@lostinpa-dadenduro75558 ай бұрын
@@LovelyLonewolf-mc3ld More complicated than that though. An American, Mexican or Canadian could be Sioux, Cherokee, Apache, Iroquois, Comanche, French, German, Spanish, English, etc. a mix or from many other native tribes. But in this case, her father was geographically from Mexico, and of European Spanish ancestry with no native.
@M.Campbell-Sherwood24 күн бұрын
@@LovelyLonewolf-mc3ld they are. She only lied about being Navajo. Her sisters also lied. They lied about not being Native. The land that is known as Mexico today also has tribes of their own. It’s just most people, sadly, don’t recognize them. It should also be noted that much of the Western and Southwestern United States used to belong to what is now Mexico. So those tribes once belonged to that territory, as well. They only became part of the U.S. when we gained the territory, in the w@r with Mexico. So yes her father’s family is Native as well as Spanish. I’d be willing to bet she’s crypto as well because of her father’s surname. Which means he probably isn’t even Spanish. Many people in the Crypto community just pretended to be. Hence the reason for being called Crypto (the hidden).
