The Elizabeth Arden one was my all time favourite too, how dare they discontinue it and I loved the fragrance. I’ll have to try the Paula’s Choice one I think. 😊

SO good! And still can't find out why they discontinued it.

I tried Eucerin photoaging control sun fluid spf 50, because my regular LRP spf 50 moisturizer was empty. I must say, it’s the best under makeup moisturizer spf I’ve ever tried. Less expensive than LRP, doesn’t pill and my skin stays hydrated. If you haven’t tried it, do! I was really pleasantly surprised.

Paula's choice made my skin dryer and dryer and sensitive over time .

I use the Ultra Violette - and living in Western Australia you need something that does the job well. Regarding SPF 30 and 50, I remember reading/hearing that in terms of protection the difference is negligible. But don’t quote me on it.

That's a myth based on weird interpretations of percentages!

The Elizabeth Arden Great 8 was the only sunscreen I've ever not hated (I HOARDED it but I'm now out). So thank you fro this, will grab the Paula's Choice!

That Paula’s Choice Youth-Extending Hydrating Glow is my all-time favorite. But they really need to come up with some shorter names!

Love Paula’s Choice, but sadly that sunscreen is only awarded an SPF 15 here in Australia. 🙃

Wow really? I didn't know that there would be such a difference. Do you know which lab or organization tested it? Makes me look at SPF differently now.

At the moment I am testing Heliocare, which is also very nice. But I will check out a few of them. I like gel-like creams (combination skin, hello!) in the summer, such a nice cooling effect.

Hello Ruth! I really like you and your channel! I wonder if the sunscreens are chemical or mineral since I can’t wear chemical sunscreens on my face because of my sensitive eyes.

You use a tiny amount on the back of your hand to demonstrate, where I come a cropper is using the recommended amount on my face resulting in problems with pilling?
@RuthCrilly2 жыл бұрын
Ah, I did film the full amount on my face but for Insta, I'll put some up on my channel later! I agree, the amount you need is tricky but I find the pilling usually comes from whatever I've put beneath them. It's a minefield!

I absolutely love that Paula’s Choice one, it’s my go to sunscreen now. I used to love the body shop skin defence SFP, it was even better than Paula’s but since it was re formulated it’s horrible, not the same animal at all.

None of these but I can do another with mineral ones!

psa: spf 50 does provide more protection than spf 30, but not significantly more, what is more important is applying the correct amount and reapplying regularly edit: face and neck, 1/2 teaspoon or 2 fingers also look for broad spectrum/uva protection, 90% of visible ageing is from the sun.
