Talking of your favourites, I recently bought the Clarins Supra volume mascara in brown which you recommended and I’m so impressed! Beautiful consistency, does not clump even with multiple layers and holds curled lashes so well (previously only waterproof mascaras did that for me and I hate the kerfuffle of removing waterproof.) The colour is just south of black so not one of those wishy washy browns. Also this stuff does not smudge or flake at all. I didn’t take my eye makeup off one night (muy bad) and my mascara looked as if I’d just applied it the next morning. Great stuff! Only minor gripe is the brush size which is fairly large and I have small eyes so I always end up getting it on my lids but for all the other benefits I can live with that. Great recommendation, thank you!

Hello Ruth, I live in Australia and I use "Retrieve 0.5".... It's retin a.... You may go through a period of peeling to start with but it won't peel forever... I have found if I use any Aha's or bha's at night before my retin a, I peel.... So I stick to this routine: I use bha and sometimes Aha's in the morning.... Then at night I use serum and moisturiser, and just before I go to bed I put a pea sized amount of retin a over the top... Then once a week I do an Aha refining treatment overnight, but I don't use retin a on that one night a week..... It works a treat..... I was having trouble with peeling, then I watched a video by "HOT AND FLASHY" and Angie does it this way........ And believe me "you will be bothered with almost anything when you start getting older".... We'd just about let an elephant dump on our faces to claw back a little of our youth.... Believe me... But you'll only truly know the depths of despair when you get there Ruth..!!! Your still young.. Enjoy

I’ve been using the Ordinary 5% retinoid in squalane and it’s made a bit of a difference but now I’m at the age where I want a more dramatic effect 😉Thanks for the recommendation! xx

Scotch Guard is a brilliant spray to protect your trainers/sofa/coats/carpets/slippers etc etc. I basically spray everything with it because I have a cat who vomits up fur balls/parades around with muddy paws. Available in any major supermarket/online. Xx
