So great to see Jan again, lovely as always. I am curious what happened to Sunprise sunscreen from Amazon with SPF 50. I thought that went well with makeup and wasn't drying plus very affordable. Was there a problem with it? Thanks for doing this, I love Paulas choice products but man the price gets me. First of all - thank you for your reviews on SPF products. But, secondly, and probably most important of all: it is SO FREAKING GOOD to see you and your Mum together again without being concerned of any health concerns. It is something that a LOT of people in the UK, Europe and around the world are in almost desperate need of: physical contact with family and friends. This video gives me those positive vibes that we're almost there and that it'll be a couple of weeks more at most (in western EU) before we can all safely hug our loved ones.

Loved seeing Jan today, and so glad you can be next to your Mother once again. Thanks for the reviews, even though most of these are way out of my price range. I do not understand at all, why sunscreen has such a high price, when most of the ingredients are cheap and have been around for decades. I usually find myself using store brands on a daily basis, because they are a much better bang for your buck, and only use the slightly higher priced ones on my face only. I also never use anything less than 45 SPF.

@@carolinerodriguez9423 I was heavily considering getting the laser, like you had tried a good few products. I have found a few that work for me I cleanse my face with Cetraben Daily cleansing cream, then use the La Roche Posay Rosalaic serum and Rosalaic moisturiser in morning and evening and then use The Ordinary 1% Retinol with Squaline. I started of on the .25 % Retinol with Squaline just until my skin got used to Retinol but my skin loves it, I use it every second night. My skin has improved alot and the broken capillaries haven't been eliminated but have faded massively and now can be easily covered with a light/medium foundation (I use No.7 Hydroluminous, a Gemma aka Pamperedwolf recommended one) and Charlotte Tilbury Magic vanish on the still more viseable capillaries. Hi as someone with very dry, rosacea and eczema prone skin spf is a bit of a minefield tbh. Mineral spf's are often really drying on my skin and a lot of the chemical spf's sting/burn. High alcohol content is also a no no as it also stings A LOT. I 've tried a few of the hyped ones including: Altruist spf50+ face fluid - gave me a bad rosacea flare although I can use it on hands/body Canmake spf - dried my face out, but I can use it on neck/chest Ultrasun psf50+ - can't use on face, but love it on body/hands. Ican make it work on neck/chest too. Paula's choice calm mineral spf30 normal/dry - works well on my face, but can be little drying Skinceuticals spf50 mineral fluid (tinted and untinted) - works well on face, but can be a little drying (looks great alone or under makeup as it has a blurring effect) I can't use the garnier or LRP on my face, but can on the body My current go to's are the PC and the skinceuticals, although I need to use a good moisturiser under both or my skin would be very dry. Some of the newer generation chemical filters don't cause stinging/burning, but the alcohol and older filters (especially the benzone ones) are a nightmare on my skin. I hope that helps others with super sensitive skin avoid some costly mistakes, or find something to try at least. Best wishes. ps all these were patch tested behind the ear without any issue and still caused a few real issues on the face.

I have dry sensitive skin with rosacea and I completely understand the struggle to find an SPF that will not be drying or irritate the skin. @@crissyanderson6495 We are indeed all different and it's not too expensive to try. I can use it on neck, chest and ears, but the centre of the face (rosacea areas) doesn't like it. Love seeing that Ultra Violette sunscreens are available in the UK now. They are amazing! Just a point about the Paula's Choice Skin Restoring Moisturiser. It's only rated SPF15 in Australia. I'm not sure whether it hasn't passed the testing for SPF50, or if Paula's Choice just didn't apply for the SPF50 rating. Seems odd that they wouldn't though. The Daily Wrinkle Defence is still SPF30 👍🏻
@PamperedWolf3 жыл бұрын
Hi Sarah, This shocked me so I did some further research and found this reply on the Paula's Choice website Australia. Hello! All SPF-rated products purchased from Paula's Choice Australia are the exact same formulation offered by Paula's Choice USA. In fact, each of our Paula's Choice Distributors around the world get their product supply from our U.S. office. While each product is extensively tested and meets U.S. regulations, because Australia's regulations differ, we are unable to claim a SPF higher than 15 on our packaging at this time. As sun protection is a cornerstone of our brand, be assured that you are getting the very same protection that our U.S. customers and others around the world are getting. We're currently working to meet the requirements for Australia's Therapeutic Goods Administration. Until that time, we will continue selling our SPF products with the current SPF 15 rating label (both sunscreens and moisturisers with sunscreen). Once we can move to displaying a higher rating, we will make sure the website shows those details for our valued customers. Hope that helps xxx
@Sarah-et3pj3 жыл бұрын
@@PamperedWolf thanks. Sounds like it's in the testing process. The + in the SPF50+ rating means it's over SPF50. I believe the sunscreen has to be tested at SPF60 and over to get the 50+ rating. Something to do with the possibility of variations in batches. Hopefully it's not long before Paula's Choice can get their labelling approved. I'm sure it's costing them sales here, as people generally buy 50+ products.

Hi, welcome back Jan, loverly to see you again . I use the La Roche Posse on your recommendation but having watched this I may try that Garner one out as my skin is slowly getting drier and never thought it was my sunscreen, but on my drier areas its getting almost painfully dry and have been cutting my skincare down to find the culprit. So I'll swap out my sunscreen, when I've bought another one, even though I've just bought 2 backups as I knew I'd use them as I put sunscreen on every day its the last thing in my skincare regime everyday due to sun damage. I will still use my La Roche one just not every day. Thankyou for trying all these out for us, it must of been dard going on the ones you didn't like and hopefully all your wolfpack are using sunscreen everyday by now. As always stay safe xx 😘❤

Lovely to see you back together again❤️xx. I used to love the PC mineral sunscreen and it was my go to for a long time but as my skin is maturing I also have problems with it looking a bit drying especially with makeup. I have recently been loving some Japanese brands, Canmake UV Mermaid gel, Biore watery essence and Biore Athlizm, all apply great under makeup and are 50+. I am waiting to see what Purito bring out to replace their Centella Green sunscreen...

Thanks for this detailed video. What is the difference between sunscreen & moisturiser with spf? Is it just marketing? I am loving Avene’s antirougeurs spf 30. It’s the perfect colour & level of moisture but not sure if it’s as good as a ‘proper’ spf?

Great work you two! I appreciate all the time and effort you put into this very important subject. I love the la Roche Posay but I might treat myself to the Paula’s choice when I’m feeling flush!

I'm from Australia where sunscreens are rigorously tested. From what I can see, the same Paula's Choice Skin Restoring Moisturiser is rated SPF 15 over here! I use a lot of Paula's Choice and really like their products, but I wonder whether they've changed their formulation?

Thanks skincare and makeup geek chicks! Great to see you together again! Love the feedback on sunscreen loves and rejects and especially that you bring in review on new brand (to me) "Ultra Violette". Finding that amazing off the beaten path product is so fun. Will have to look for it to be shipped to the US market in future. I want tinosorb LOL! I stock up while in Europe but there hasn't been any travel in my last year boo hoo. I'm ready for a trip to UK and mainland Europe!!!

A bit hard to choose. Some are not sold in the US, some are SPF’s 30, some are tinted beyond my skin, some are alcohol. But to see your mom again was a joy.

Gem (and Hi Mum!) thanks for a wonderful video. Thankfully, the UltraViolette sunscreens are way cheaper in Australia if you do the conversion. Here its equivalent to under 25pounds. Now, that said, we pay a lot more for most other things (for obvious reasons, shipping costs etc.). For example, a good drugstore mascara for around 10 pounds, double it, then add up to 20% more and that's what we pay = $24-$25 AUD. I love the UltaMD spf 44 tinted, but its around $70 AUD to get it online (only option). So I am definitely going to try the tinted mineral from UltraViolette for sure! Thanks for the savings Gem!

I just found your channel, and I would have to say, I adore it already!!! Does anyone know where I can get the Queen Screen SPF delivered to the states?? I'm so intrigued by it, but unfortunately the site reads no delivery to USA. Where can I get this, I want it so bad!! Lol
