Can track regions be used like Studio One Arranger?
@commontimeproductions
@commontimeproductions 4 ай бұрын
Thanks for the question! As it looks like in Studio One, there are some similarities between the "Arranger Track" it has and then Mixcraft's "Track Regions". For the most part, the moving sections easily works pretty much the same in each daw. Hopefully this answers your question :)

Can the audio meters be turned vertically? Also can mixcraft auto detect a midi drum beat auto detection?
@commontimeproductions
@commontimeproductions 7 ай бұрын
You can visualize the audio meters vertically by "undocking" the mixer panel from the bottom. Then you can place it on a second screen and see the tracks vertically with their meters. Sorry for the late comment, hope this helps!

Do you know how to connect Juno Gi to Mixcraft 10.5? I am having trouble connecting all sound of the synth and its digital recorder to the computer and the only sound it can make is just piano. :(

To connect your Roland Juno-Gi to Mixcraft 10.5 and get all the sounds (not just piano), you’ll need to use its audio output instead of MIDI. MIDI only sends note data, which is why you're hearing the piano sound from a virtual instrument in Mixcraft. You can connect the Juno-Gi via the stereo outs (Left/Right) to an audio interface or use the USB audio connection (make sure to install the Juno-Gi drivers). In Mixcraft, set up an audio track, arm it for recording, and select the input channel from your audio interface or Juno-Gi. This will capture the actual synth sounds. If you want to use the built-in digital recorder on the Juno-Gi, play it back while recording into Mixcraft. Hope that helps solve the issue :)

@@commontimeproductions Thank you for the help. Yes I am using USB connection and not the MIDI cable. I have done my research and I am very sad to know it but the Juno Gi drivers are very outdated as Roland company stopped updating it until Windows 10 (I got Windows 11). The model is really decade old anyway. I am thinking about downgrading back to Windows 10 just for the sake of connecting my keys again but I don’t want to delete all my files. I am thinking about buying an audio interface to hope of connecting it. Will this option work?
@commontimeproductions
@commontimeproductions 3 ай бұрын
@@mjkeys Yeah, the audio interface route will be probably your best bet then. That way you can just run a live signal into the interface and use Mixcraft to capture the incoming signal. As for the drivers, if you do happen to find them online, Windows 11 will support drivers that are from Windows 10. The drivers will need to be x64 architecture though. Also, you may need to run it in a compatibility mode for that to work.

@@mjkeys You could also run the juno signal out to an amp cab and then use a mic to capture it if that is your only option as well. I mean technically you could use the amp signal and a di from the juno to get the performance twice. Leaves one for editing with other effects later, and then you could blend in the actual amp sound from the juno for a layered FX.

Want someone to develop a sequencer that rivals FL's. Something similar yet more featured based. Only thing stopping me from finding a new or secondary DAW. I need to be able to quickly drag and drop drum sounds, build rhythms and so on.

Thanks for your comment! Are you currently using FL Studio? I remember using that one a few years ago. We use ProTools and Audition (sometimes) here.

This application is very good. .. But, The minus of this application (Mixcraft) is that there is no automatic "Glide/Slide" effect
@commontimeproductions
@commontimeproductions 24 күн бұрын
Could you please explain what you mean by "Glide/Slide" effect? Are you meaning grid/slip like in Pro Tools, or as in with a midi controller slide wheel? I would just like to clarify what you are saying :) Thanks so much for your comment!

I wish you'd demoed removing one of the stems as well, rather than just soloing them all. Removing vocals for instance would have shown if it would work well for karaoke.

During my testing I had actually tried that with an old song my band recorded. It ended up removing a huge frequency band section where the vocals were, and the song sounded thin afterwards so I didn't think that it was ready for that type of clarity. It is not something like Izotope's RX11, where it will literally remove only the vocals. I hadn't thought of using it that way for karaoke specifically, but I have used a website called karaoke-version that has a whole bunch of karaoke songs that even include lyric videos along with the tracks. Plus, they have this custom backing track versions where you can select what instruments you want or don't want for the song. They even let you download separate stems so that you can pull them into your daw and work with them that way as well. Thanks so much for your comment, in the future maybe I will just leave all of it in like that in editing so that you guys can see the real raw takeaway for stuff like this.

@@commontimeproductions Thanks for the info. I'm still on Mixcraft 9 but will be upgrading very soon. I was thinking of trying to repair some of my old songs with 'even worse than usual' vocals due to having a cold when I recorded them, but it sounds like the best thing will be to redo them from scratch... or wait a few more years for better AI.

@@LezMarwick We have been using Mixcraft since version 6, and I would have to say that 10 is by far the most stable and has lots of great quality of life features that I am super glad to have now. As for the vocals, have you checked out "Revocalize"? That ai tool allows you to upload your vocals and then use ai to enhance them. I also found "voice.ai" and see that they have a free stem separation tool you could try as well for the old songs. Also, if you still have the songs with the stems separated in an older version of Mixcraft, you could always try using Melodyne on the vocals to clean them up and adjust the bits that sound off. There are so many new things out there with ai and music stuff now, check out Matt Wolfs KZbin channel, his website "Future Tools" has a catalog of a slew of the current and upcoming ai tech and tools that are mostly free to check out or just the super cheap cost of the api. Hope that this helps, I love this stuff and am excited to see all the new tools for music. You rock!
