Great input jedi master. Very grateful for all these years of tracking you. Each your sentence I have put in probotion time, regarding my environment and it makes sense. So, I was right, all your rods comes as a light sabbers 😅. Tight lines wherever you are 👍👍👍🐟🐟🐟

I've always chopped worms as I go, not because I'm worried about freshly chopped worm - I'm tight and don't want to waste expensive worm 😂

I use 35-40g cage feeder at end with only groundbait (created mist for small fish), 10 cm 0.18 hooklenght on heli rig between double rubber stops 50cm above feeder. That heli rig is movable. Now i do set up my rod up in air like on river with tripod so that short heli rig is dangling like 20cm of bottom. I cougth 25 perch with hook 12 and single earthworm hooked on the nose in 3hrs time. If fish are small, i cut worm for hook in half or even thirds. Or if the hook is bigger, i stack 5-6 thirds like bunch of maggots (carp love that bait). Worms are great bait on any water (if nothing works, worms will).

Great video with some good tips Joe and a bit of a change to your normal videos. It's nice to see someone like yourself do a video like this where advertising a particular brand doesn't come into it

You'd think that a longer hook length would allow the fish to potentially mash your bait before a bite was registered. I think that with those style of feeders a long hook length allows you to drag the feeder so that the hook bait presents around the bait that comes out of the feeder - thereby giving you a second chance of a bite - if you see where I'm coming from? I rarely see an angler move the feeder once it's settled. Try the drag back - it works.

Joe, great tips... since i've changed to fishing a slacker line to the tip,I have noticed the bites that i'm hitting now, are not as deep hooked as the were on a tighter line.

Enjoyed that! What’s your thoughts on Inline cage feeders? I use the Preston ICS system and never used the cages but am thinking of giving them a go this winter. One rod set up 😃

I've had some success with them. My only weird issue is tangles where the hooklength tangles around the mainline. But the definitely work
