Hi RHG 🙋🏻‍♀️ thanks for watching ❤️ I went in Morrisons to do my £5 challenge, wow that’s gone up. £3.25 for cornbeef. I only came away with some packet smash you recommended ages ago for 29p and some reduced stuff. Won’t be going back there in a hurry 😊

@@ruthsmith2367 for one can of corned beef 🤯 ive been buying mine from Farmfoods and aldi/ lidl as the quality does meet the price. Same as canned stewed steak, ridiculous prices. Glad i started this when I did. 👊💜👊

@@rosehippyguy3402 absolutely only went in there for a change. Yep Asda smartprice was £1.25 now their essentials is £1.85. Glad I stocked up to when I did to 😊

Just subscribed! Great video Ruth with some good ideas. I bought those tins but I’ll pick up some of that knorr soup next time, I liked the idea of putting dehydrated veggies in ❤

Thanks for subbing Jo B ❤️ I’ve started cutting my veg up in little cubes to dehydrate, especially my potatoes. I would rehydrate your veggies beforehand in cold water first then use that water to make your soup so no flavour lost. I find rehydrated veg has a better texture that way then popping them straight into boiling water. How about you 😊

You’re a better woman than me Ruth! I buy frozen chopped veg to dehydrate, I defrost first on a kitchen towel and pat off excess moisture. I don’t dehydrate potatoes, I’ve a large stock of tinned and mash. Good tip to soak first!

@@job1756 oh I do dehydrated frozen veg to. Sweetcorn is the best. I can eat it just as it is dehydrated 🤣

Not a lover of ketchup myself, but the grandkids love it on everything, my mum used to make dumplings to bulk out her stews and make them last a couple of days, didn’t love them as a child but our tastes change over the years, I hated sprouts but would now eat a plateful, the food section in our B&Ms puts Asda to shame doesn’t it, Home Bargains struggles from time to time but they are usually cheaper, my coffee has gone up 20p but I found it in Morrison’s at a better price, talking of Morrison’s in the bay, they’ve took all but 2 of their tills out and the place is now like the Marie Celeste! great haul there, maybe some fruit/sweet stuff next time, but only if it’s what you would eat.
