I never thought i would need a song about Godot pronunciation, but thank you for making it anyway!

That song is amazing, thank you for brightening up my Saturday, man!
@Sithoid14 сағат бұрын
That song is FIRE! I don't think we've seen that side of your talents before. The world needs this as a separate video so that we could spread it all over Discord and Reddit xD (personally, I still prefer the French pronunciation... but I'm not native, so fair play)
@connorcoker51127 сағат бұрын
I think you highlighting some lesser known Godot content creators is really cool of you to do. As for my vote I’ll give it to #2 because i find the concept cool

I always like your videos, almost obligatorily. .... But I felt compelled with the song. Dude, you can sing too, nice. You rock, that rocked.

The song was a very nice change of pace for these types of video and was pleasing in its own right! Well done!
@ColorauGuiyino17 сағат бұрын
I think that since the original work was written in french, the correct pronunciation must be the french one: Godó.
@aymes0013 сағат бұрын
I presume we'll have a song at the end of every video now? Great stuff XD Anyway, #1 is my choice this week!
@Drifter_dr18 сағат бұрын
9:09 I pronounce it GO-DOT. Straight and simple 😂

As someone who also does game dev just as a hobby, I would really love to see some more hobby-based Godot games featured in the “5 games made in Godot“ section.

This week has so much content! 1. My vote: 2 | Piece by Piece 2. Yes I'd like to see some hobby game content, if you can give it a try. 3. I always watch the videos with subtitles. You fell short with the many combinations for Godot, especially the video about GodotCon... chef's kiss Best regards

just today I was looking for more godot content creators, cheers :D

I don’t typically comment, but that song at the ending was life changing. I expect more songs about how to pronounce words in the future especially if they sound the good!
@captaincabri17 сағат бұрын
Was waiting all day long this week's video. And I'm not disappointed. This week was tiring, no ending debugging stuff...needed a nice mood. And every part of the video was apeasing :D Impressed how you sing so well, didn't expect that :D Thank you from the other side of the Earth. And I pronunce it Goh-do, because I think you already made a video about that...and I am not English native speaker, so I got a nice excuse to do so.

#1 for sure. In 30 someodd years of playing games I'm not I've seen a mechanic quite like that, and that excites me.

The engine with the blue robot face and a head shaped like a gear. 😆 Nice video and i put Piece By Piece on my steam wishlist.

#2, real interesting take on the puzzle genre. Forgot the outro in the video where you show thumbnails of the 5 games, liked that to refresh my memory to make a choice. I have Wilson from Dr House on my side with Guh-Doe haha.
@nonapplicable479512 сағат бұрын
I gotta go with number 2, I just love puzzle concepts where you take control of the physical elements of a game like that.

@YawningCatGames10 сағат бұрын
Yeaahhh the music video! I was hoping that would make an appearance when you started to talk about the pronunciation. :D Hard choice between #2 and #3 this week, but I think I have to vote for #2 because it is just more unique. Wishlisting both on Steam though! And I would be interested in seeing the hobby type stuff. Not sure how you would format it, or what the ratio is between those submissions and the more commercial ones, but sounds cool for sure. Maybe when the news week is a little light you could replace that section with a quick look at several of them?

4% of the pie is awesome indeed for godot. Penetrate in such way in the industry, after years and years of unity and unreal is a great thing. Many would not remember blender at the begins, but it has been a huge strugle to reach where they are now.
@reeboothemad551418 сағат бұрын
All very nice games this time, making this hard... I'll vote for #3 because the world needs more RTS and I really want to play it. Also thanks for pointing out Pixezy, didn't know the channel before - instant subscription. That being said... as english is not my first language, I'll be sticking with guh-DOH, thank you very much. 😄

I'm a hobbyist who submitted a game and would definitely be interested in seeing others. I totally understand why my game wouldn't get featured compared to all these great games being shown every week. I'm proud of it nonetheless.
@wildernns16 сағат бұрын
This is some quality content. And some great games this week! I like Gouda, but then we still have international pronunciation issues. 😅
@skeptikai14 сағат бұрын
Always cool to see these games showcased! Btw, regarding voting, I'm not sure what I'm voting for. Is it for like... the game I'm most excited to try? Looks most impressive? Demos of games I've played and liked? Because I'm happy to participate, but saying "don't forget to vote" doesn't tell me what I'm even voting for. Maybe you can clear that up next week. Btw your song had NO RIGHT to go that hard. But damn. Amazing. (I still refuse to call it anything but "Go-dot" but I still love your song lol)
@edjyjohnson15 сағат бұрын
#2 and #4 ....that last bit was the goat-ot!
@SteveDFM13 сағат бұрын
I'd definitely love to see hobby games. As a kid I used to play those '200 games on 1 cassette' type C64 games, so these would easily be on a par with those.
@ledsvik18 сағат бұрын
I love the new format of your videos. Could we have a playlist for things that involve things planning and getting starting? That would be great. I just now tried to find that planning tool for my, eventually, project and I remember seeing something you got sponsored by that looked amazing. The one(s) I used historically looked like some dragon swallowed a circus and took a shat. And I remembered it was free. Which always worry. But not if you can export or download your planning.

Generally speaking it's "god-OH" for Americans "GOD-oh" for the British (hence Stewart and McKellen) and "gu-doh" (neither syllable stressed) in French. The name comes form French. Beckett's estate says either is fine.

About game developing as a hobby and include it in this channel, why not organize an online jam of 1 week or something like that. It would be very interesting to see what come aboard.
