Webfishing just exploded, i myself play it daily and met a lot of friends. Truly amazing in its semplicity. Thats my pick.

I have struggled with OCD for 2-3 years. Thankfully its over now and we are reducing doses of medication. I will definietly check out game 3.

I have to give it to #5! The Golden Idol is such a great series! Already finished the new one and looking forward to getting more of this. The way they tell stories is just amazing!
@simolani12Ай бұрын
For me it's #3. I really like the idea of talking about complex matters.

So many good entries this week it's hard to choose! I'll go with #5. Looks the most intriguing, and I love the artwork!

The game about OCD has a really nice hook and I really liked it, cool idea. My vote goes for it.

I _would've_ said Webfishing BUT I'm putting my weight behind #2. Being welsh myself, I spent university trying to build a welsh-mythology inspired RPG and due to my own struggles I was never able to work on it properly. I hope this project goes amazingly!

The fishing game looks cute, but #4 Mikota really captured my attention. This is my vote for this week.

i wonder how many people know Buckshot Roulette was made in Godot? it's kinda crazy how little it gets mentioned, i guess everyone assumes it was a Unity game (i assumed the same myself at first)
@LeetTreetАй бұрын
Pretty sure Buckshot has been featured on one or two videos in this series 🙂

#4 Mikota gives off the vibes of those classic story-driven games like Syberia and Dreamfall, albeit on a smaller scale. Could be great!
@mnoble5406Ай бұрын
I thought Rise of the Golden Idol would just blow away the competition, but the audience's response shows just how many great games exist, and for every taste!
@aymes00Ай бұрын
I'd finished the first golden idol game three days ago, just before I realised it had even been made in godot! I've already bought the new one and the detective pass, so I guess this week I need to give a vote for #5! (I have added Mikota to my wish list though, that also looks great.)
@InvasionAnimationАй бұрын
I vote for 3. Even though I don't have one, I feel like therapists are very important jobs that make the world a better place.

Pitting Rise of the Golden Idol and Webfishing against each other is a cruel choice. That being said, I'm all here for it!
@nanno4522Ай бұрын
I get that webfishing is great and stuff. I've known the game for a while now, but my vote will go to #3. I once thought about a game about psychological topics, but I think it's hard to achieve without being insensitive, so if they did that well, very nice, you have my vote (and might play it at some point). #4 also seems interesting.

Little did he know now there’s gonna be 1B games with the same theme same looks and same name
@nanno4522Ай бұрын
Well, fishing video games existed for a while, as minigame or even as a game itself (just search online about fishing games before webfishing came out). Webfishing also didn't invent the cute polygonal look, just take a peek at Animal Crossing for Game Cube and NDS. I think what makes the game is the social part together with the activities around it. Drawing on the floor, showing enormous fish to the others, playing the guitar, etc in a very comfy environment is what made the game what it is. Animal Crossing also had that in 2020 with New Horizons, but since you need a switch and pay for the internet in it, it didn't scale that much. And games are not about exclusivity. Give two devs/designers the same theme and the same constraints and you might get two, very similar but very different results.
