Thank you, Kevin. Happy to hear you enjoyed it. Was the pace of the video fine for you? Should it run a bit slower / faster?
@kevinholliday2066
@kevinholliday2066 Жыл бұрын
@@framesmagazine I think it could run a tad faster perhaps, but more than that I think the one main constructive critique would be to just have the text 'pop' in rather than fold in. I found myself looking down at the text area and waiting for it to complete, whereas that time could have been better spent reading the text really fast, and then getting back to looking at the image, if that makes sense. I really loved what you had to say about each image and certainly don't want that to go away however, just have the text come in much faster is all.

I liked your choice of photos & agreed with your comments on them. An impression I'd add on the last, tree, photo is that the yellow & green color grading they used enhances the feeling of the subject matter... I also like the idea of your video using descriptive assessments of well-done photographs. Only one negative (at least to me) that I'd prefer be changed - I really didn't care for the text randomly floating in & out (but I don't like Powerpts in which ppl feel compelled to use all the wacky fly-in/out features either). To me, it detracted from the overall calming/artistic video preso. Could you perhaps experiment with just a straight left to right 'wipe' of the text or a simultaneous fade in/fade out of all the text vs random letters flying around? Thx for sharing your insights on the photos!

I enjoyed looking at these photographs through your eyes (via the comments) though I had a few reactions that were different eg I also enjoyed the patterned areas and how they were situated in the plain, in the first - and the nephew and girlfriend told me a whole story so I felt no need to know more - but different responses means a complex and interesting photo. I agree re the shifting letters, interesting the first time, then frustrating waiting for what you had to say to emerge after that. The music was fine.

Great photographs full of inspiration. The first image Tomasz is, as you comment is full of vivid colour and good composition. One thing though in my humble opinion I thinks it's a stated photo. Look at the guy coming around the corner on th left and compare it to the guy coming down the alley. Their facial features are the same and both are holding phone to their ear. Clever composition but staged.

The format works well. Suggest changing the style on the captions. Simplify and eliminate the timing difference on the character appearance.
