I was going to do honorable mentions being more figure rise pilots and a revive of older RG but i thought that would be silly. Funny enough after i finished this video bandai announced more figure rise pilots, a RG rx78 2.0 and a HG psycho gundam MK2

One line of models I'm continually baffled isn't a thing is Gundam Mecha Musume. Gundam Ace has been publishing Mika Akitaka's MS Girl art since the early eighties and they're still a fixture to this day, while Bandai's itself is clearly interested in more moe girl figures -- like Super Fumina or their 30 Minute Sisters line. I can't see a universe where their own line of moe girl figures based on popular Mobile Suit designs on the level of quality of Fumina wouldn't be successful.

It's crazy to think that's not a thing, kotobukiya has had the frame arms girl line for a while and they did the gaogaigar collab version. With the figure rise build fighter girls, super fumina, and others. they are literally right there and just need to commit

i theorized this (based on nothing in particular but speculation) on the kakarot video about mecha musume he published recently but... i wonder if there are licensing issues somehow with doing mecha girls based on gundam robots.

I have always wanted a proper model kit of the battleships in Gundam series. Would love to have a Archangel, Minerva and White base in 1:144 to go with my CE and UC HG and RG kits. Al tho, I do realize it would mean the model kit for the Archangel would have a span wide of 1.5 meters in 1:144 scale, as for Minerva it would have a wingspan of 2.1 meters.

I wish they made SD sets. Like one box with the main 3 OYW earth federation mobile suits instead of having to buy them separately. Especially since they're really cheap in the first place, so the box sets wouldn't be very expensive.

they did a sd pack of the acguy zock and gogg, with how little runners they are and cheap throwing them in groups seems like a good idea

Personally, I'd love to see a big revive of classic UC MSV suits. Stuff like the more obscure GMs and Guncannons, or literally any of the Psycommu test Zakus. The fact that the Bishop and PsyTest HiMo Zaku's only have pre-HGUC kits is a crime.

You can make SDCS shorter by replacing their legs with shorter ones from SDCS Booster Set 1. They also come in white, gray, char's red and zaku green

Personally, I'd like to see a return of the 1/1700 EX ships. There are so many cool ships that we seriously need: Nahel Argama, Ra Cailum, Dogosse Giar/General Revil, Thoroughbred, Spartan, Blac Rival, Gray Phantom, Ptolemaios 1 & 2, Kusanagi, Hammerhead/Isaribi, just to name a few.

100% agree on all of these. some of the old MA kits are actually really cool tho tbh. alpha azieru kit actually kicks ass. zakrello needs a revive kit for sure tho... just not with that weird converge redesign. btw there are dopp and magella attack kits in the ex model line. still need to have a lot of painting and whatnot tho

I agree an SD Big Zam would be awesome. I wish the SDGF kits were better. Also, a lot of people forget about SD Gundam Sangokuden. The World Heroes stuff is okay (and , yes, have way too much going on with extra hair and stuff) but I like the Sangokuden designs and anime better. The kiba breaker kits are fun to play with. I really need to build the other ones... along with the bazillion other kits I haven't gotten to. Yep. The backlog is real!

Now that there's an HG Destroy Gundam and an upcoming HG Psycho MK-II, I'm more optimistic than ever that we might finally see HG kits of other long-awaited big boys like the Quin Mantha or Big Zam.

I loved Superior Defender so I also would love a new take on those designs. The talk of SDs reminded me of the recent Gunpla-kun and Zakupla-kun kits and how they went for a cutsey aesthetic that was different from that of the old SD kits. That's got me wondering how you'd feel about that line of kits being expanded with more MS in that style. The Gunpla-Kun shorts featured an Aerial, GM, and Nu as recurring characters so I'm surprised we never got kits of them.

I saw them recently they look really neat, the propotions are different but could work well with other standard looking MS. They are also pretty cheap, easy to build and cute I can see bandai doing more kits focusing on lead characters MS. There size make nice desk trickets might have to add it to the backlog

Yeah the non MS kits could fall in the scaling of military models. Like 1:35 for the ground vehicles and 1:32/1:48 for the smaller aircraft.

I'd love to see 1/350 or 1/700 versions of gundam ships like White base and Argama. Current 1/1700 ships is a little too small for my tastes and doesn't fit with any of my existing warships models. At least the hardgraph line fits with my 1/35 tank collection.

Wishing big here but would love a 1/144 Doggorla, bandai could sell the main body along with a few tail sections then sell tail sections separate.

yeah, i would love to see more older kits get an upgrade like the ship kits. The more obscure grunt MS from like After War Gundam X, Victory and others. definitely more vehicles from the Big Tray type to the aircraft and other light vehicles , And lastly i would love to see the Neue Ziel Mobile Armor from 0083 as a HG or a RE:100 line . Can't hurt to have more MS from Gundam Wing either hahhaha.

Your taste and mine are amazingly close. I too have been griping about how SDs aren't even SD anymore at all and that the RE/100 line died (probably). I think you're a bit too kind to that Force show though. It was the beginning of SDs having full legs and such, the trend that eventually destroyed SD. Also the show itself was infantile trash. The OG SD OVAs are friggn' hilarious though. Ghost of Lala floating around with a beam saber sticking out of her head...exactly the comedy relief a OG Gundam fan needs after seeing so much tragedy. The last good SD line was the G Generation ones that were based on the PS1 game. That's a long time ago! They are great models though, way better than the 80s originals and still SD as well as super cheap. The RX-78 GP01/01fb/02a/03, and even 04 are all in this line. There wasn't a real scale GP04 until the RE/100 line! There were once a small number of MS you could ONLY get as SDs. I want the Megasize line to expand as well. The Mega Size RX-78 is maybe the best Gunpla ever. I really want a Normal Unicorn or maxi out with green PF instead of red in Mega Size. I'd also like to see the EX series and UC Hard Graph come back. Ships, MAs as well.

I know bandai has the full mechanic line which is basically AU re/100 which its nice that AU gets some light but while not both? I do miss the old SD show and also gundam-san, its dumb parody humor was great. The G gen line was great while can be hard to find, when a online hobby store gets a shipment i try to get them regardless and usually they are pretty cheaply priced. The mega size gives me re/100 vibes I like the idea of a massive model that dosent have a crazy build and thats how the bust idea came but somthing that massive would just look cool.

Re100 is for UC designs. Full mechanics is for AU designs. That is the difference.

I'd like to see more kits from Turn A since that series has some really unique designs. Flat, Wodom, Kapool, etc. And I want some ship models. Apparently Bandai did produce some, but I can't find any recent ones. It's kinda weird how there's a billion versions of the RX-78-2, but there's hardly anything for the White Base.

A new GP01 would be nice. That and a RG 2.0 for the Freedom given they're doing a 2.0 for The Gundam (aka. the Original). But who am I kidding? Bandai are off their rocker between the awful show that scared me away from modern anime (no name, I'll attract CoSM cultists if I explicitly say it) and their especially picky output over the past few years. So.... Maybe they'll give us a line of crack cocaine-powered Gunpla that you sniff to get high instead.
