Very pro 2A Navy veteran. I also agree with you that everyone in the household, seriously, needs to be proficient with any and all firearms in the house. One channel I like to check out occasionally is Autumn's armory. Really cute kid that can shoot rings around just about anyone. She fully understands firearm safety and has no fear of any firearm. It's a tool. What makes it a dangerous tool is the person wielding it. If someone being shot is a reason to take them away, then we need to get rid of knives, cars, hammers and, for that matter, bare hands.

I'm in Australia, our gun laws are some of the worlds strictest. I personally don't care about guns. I'm not for or against guns. However that 50 cal is a bit of overkill. No pun intended. Are you out there hunting Tanks!? Here we are in a "Knife Crime Epidemic!!!". A chick got attacked here last night with a hatchet. & the amount of machete used in home invasions is out of control. Bad people do bad shit!!! Simple as that.

Another question, like i said i'd probably own a firearm in the US or other places, but here i feel no need for it. Now here's my question for you to answer : Would you be able to live in a country like mine where very few people own firearms? Would you still feel the need for one as protection? I've had american friends that felt relieved , less stressed, on european soil. I also have some thar felt more insecure, naked , without their holster😂. Coz we still do have crime, just not with guns usually.

You aren't wrong, I dislike the AK because it's kinda sloppy when it comes to accuracy among other things, but it is definitely the honey badger of guns. It doesn't quit, and it doesn't care about what you do to it. But yeah, also agreed on anyone living in a house with firearms (and personally anyone period, there's enough guns that it's just a good idea) needs to be familiar if not proficient with their use, especially basic important things like knowing to check if it's loaded, to check the safety is on, that there's not a round chambered already, etc. You don't have to like guns to know how to make sure they aren't a danger to yourself and others.

Very very interesting to get your views on these. I have many more questions 😂, i hope you dont mind me asking, feel free not to answer tho 😂. So get ready for a long comment. These guys are obviously fans 😂. But they claim the gvmt doesnt want you to have them coz they llook scary. But i was hoping they'd give the "real" reason, and by that i mean one they can put on paper and inforce, cosmetics or "scary" is kind of a personal thing hard to discribe 😂. Or would it be coz of the 30round mag they casually mention and gloss over 😂. Tavor, 28 round mag. I know there are a few states that limit capacity, do you think that is usefull ? Barett M107 😂, wouldnt be my first choice for long range shot sportshooting, but it is bad ass. It is indeed inconceivable overhere that people would own these, i wouldnt trust 90% of my countrymen with it 😂. Happy guns are very hard to get overhere, yet in the US coz all the crazies have em i'd feel very tempted to make sure it was at least an even playingfield. My probable home defense, which in my mind is CQB, and not really a fan of AR or AK platforms for that -> PS90 , FN5.7 side arm and a Benelli M4 or Remington 870. The 5.7 is an Expensive round but a fast nasty litlle bugger , with little recoil, and you get a lot of them. Dependin on jurisdiction ofcourse. Standard is 50!! The PS90 itself is quite "light" and Getting the Side arm with same caliber just makes sense and it is a really good pistol . The Shotguns are just 2 very reliable and usefull weapons, i've used them in the military and this is what my wife would use to scare the boogeyman,... altho her shouting and cursing would also make most men shiver and shake 😂. The shotguns we can own overhere as well. A classic HK MP5 and a Glock 17 would be my 9mm combo of choice. I like to have smg and handgun in same caliber. Question: i've seen an AR style weapon in the background of a very early video of yours? Am i mistaken? What is it and do you combine it with a side arm? No need to disclose if you'd rather dont mention the weapons you own. I managed to try these and several others on 2 ranges in the US, my friends are locals and know the owners. They set up a field day for me, displaying some of their own collection.( my 1st thought was not "these guys are dangerous" but "these guys are rich" 😂, must be worth a fortune. Anyway always strange arriving there as a European 😂. You get quite the attention, and i was a bit rusty at first i admit, they had a good laugh. Muscle memory kicked in eventually, took about 50rounds to get me shooting as smooth and straight as 30yrs ago. You know FN, so you are aware we have produces some of the finest weapons in history, but only a few of those the public can own. Only some handguns and game "hunting" rifles they ( or browning, coz thats also FN) produce. The human hunting kind are not legal or available (-> FAL, SCAR, ..😒 coz of full auto option i guess? , ofcourse the FN MAG (=M240) and Minimi,,....are not legal, that kinda makes sense 😂) A brief round up of the law overhere : The only legal reasons to obtain a permit are: hunt sports and recreational shooting building a collection of historical weapons participation in historical or folkloric activities personal defense of persons who run an objective and high risk and who can demonstrate that having a firearm limits this risk. In addition, you must meet the following conditions: you must be of legal age you may not have been convicted of certain crimes you must be able to provide a medical certificate confirming that you can manipulate a weapon without posing a danger to yourself or others you must pass a theoretical and practical test the adult residents living there have not opposed the application Now , there's also a long long list of weapons we cant own at all. Main one being automatic weapons, but also things like pepperspray, batons, certain blades and amunition. The list of things we can own is a whole lot shorter 😂. But gaspowered weapons are freely available. In some countries there is a limit on the pressure they can use. We dont have that.😂 So i've shot an airpowered rifle that shoots a .308 (or 7.62) round 😂. Kils a deer long distance easily. The grey area where you ask yourself, "why is this allowed and that isnt ?" exists overhere as well. Anyway, very interesting, yet i was hoping they'd state the formal reasoning behing the gvmt wanting to keep those out of civilicians hands, rather than "they look scary" , if that is a reason i know some ugly mutts that would need a permit just to leave the house 😂

I have a vpr12guage with more than a few 10 round mags first 2 rounds birdshot then full 00 buckshot. Then we have a few ar platform rifles 1 chambered in .458 socom the others are just .223 comparable to 556. Wife has hand guns.

Personally if I may before people get the ownership of a gun I think they need to go through rigorous mind I can't spell the word I'm trying to say u know make sure people aren't mental I suppose is what I'm trying to say now perhaps this is just my nieveity as different environment that ye have in the US

Psychological tests you mean? Yes 100% altho not waterproof it would help. Here in 🇧🇪you need a medical certificate that you are mentally and physically able to use it without causing harm to yourself or others. Local police will do the background check as they know you and your family and friends best. They know who you hang out with and if its a dodgy crowd, guess what, you re not getting get the license. They can better assess if you're worthy than a pencil pusher in some office far away. You need to pass a written test ,and a practical one at the police range. Where i live the police has these "range days" about once a month for new applicants. And for every gun you need a seperate license, you dont need to to all the practical steps again, but the some formal ones yes. Average time : 4 to 6 months. So you must really want that license. Cost : about 99Euro.

Ridiculous? Of course, but it's murica. For a variety of reasons you couldn't pay me to go there, at least some states anyway. Im Scottish and proficient in a good few rifles and machine guns, i like guns, but i am anti psycho asshole that can so easily access one legally. Sporting rifles? Really? Before anyone says but you're from the uk, if i pass the checks i can legally buy a fuckin uzi.
