I was getting trouble with Ele Shamans, now i know that no matter how hard dispelling Flame shock is... Its better to do it than to allow EVERY Lava Burst to Crit, and Earth Shocks 20 stacks augmented

I would recommend setting up your skills in a way that makes logical grouping of the abilities. For example I use MouseWheelDown as my interrupt and MouseWheelUp as by long range stun that I can also use to interrupt targets that I'm out of range. This is much easier for the brain to work with than having them in entirely different parts of the keyboard/mouse on two different hands. Try to group your hard CCs, Slows, AoE/Cleave skills, main DPS skills, Defensives and Utility.

your keybinding example reminds me of my raid leader (a warrior tank) back in 4.3.We finally met offline at the end of 4.3 and raided Dragon Soul together. Only then, I found it was a miracle for us to pass Heroic Dragon Soul: His kick at '7', his Heroic Leap at 'O', and he didn't even bind a key for Shieldwall, yes, he used mouse to click SHIELDWALL when needed. And yes, we went through Heroic Dragon Soul......

Can you please make a list of important casts to interrupt and timings to CC? Most people dont know all classes. Things like disarm arms Avatar, interrupt chaos bolt, freedom spear of bastion, etc.

My interrupt on my Guardian Druid is on wheeldown, I shit you not. And shift wheeldown for focus kick. I have kicked fears and polymorphs 0.2 sec into the cast. The tip about having your interrupt close by is priceless knowledge skill capped is giving you.

I put my interrupt on Mouse Button 1 on my gaming mouse (the first side button, right above my thumb). It used to be F1, but I would constantly fat finger ESC or F2 so I switched it out.

I bound my kick to the MouseWheelDown so when I scroll down I can interrupt a cast, found it to be a very quick and easy way to do it.

playing since vanilla, let me tell you it is not something that benefits you anymore. Class and talent changes occur so often, that the meta is constantly shifting. If you're not up to date with the current season meta, you will not climb. That being said, the bar has been set MUCH higher now vs. TBC. Back then 1.) and 3.) was enough to get glad. Gladiator has still eluded me (got 2k on almost all chars) as I've only peaked at 2.2k in SL and 2350 in MOP. sadge.

@@piposanchezyou can get gladiator this season… i believe!! newer player here but i got 2500 my first 2 seasons of pvp in shadowlands. what helped me more than anything else was to recognize the mistakes and WHY i was losing, and doing what i could to correct them. i notice a lot of guys lose, leave the game and hit “join battle” to que the next game and not learn why they lost. at first we lost most of the games against certain comps, then we changed kill targets, or CC targets, etc. and instead of going 1-4 or 2-8 we were 5-5 or 6-4 etc … going 50/50 against a tough team was enough to climb at least gladiator range and farm those 50 wins even if it won’t result in higher rating and/or rank 1. ex: killing the fire elemental last xpac destroyed ele shamans damage and as a result we had more momentum and started beating ele/aff frequently. vs before it was auto-loss

Nah this ain’t it. I got my buddy into WoW after he randomly said he’d play it with us one day. Dude said he liked the look of the PvP. Had no experience before we got him into it and he was 2500 in 1 month. He went from us telling him how to keybind to him smoking us in duels full health every time. Then he quit because apparently it was too easy, now he runs an 8 figure business and has a big stake in Uber lol, some people are built different

As they mentioned with their rogue example, it's great to have a stun on the kill target, but hopefully, somebody else has a stun or 2 for the enemy healer at the same time. One of the main issues I run into is not knowing when or why some enemies are inturupt and stun immune. Interrupts and crowd control are essential to success. Having enemies that are completely unaffected by both periodically feels odd and bad.

It's also important not to try to use all your CDs and finish someone off if the healer isn't CC'd. A free casting healer can put out enough HPS to stop a full burst on DPS if you just let them freecast.

sad to see that this is another melee expansion, and by melee i am including shadowpriests and elemental shamans, which are melee, since everyone of their spells are instant casts. Basically instant cast classes are dominating, and "real" cast classes are not rewarded for their measly1,5 sec casts. Just picture a boomie that needs to do 4 globals just do to a puny 10 k instant starsurge

There are so many new abilities in DF, and so many of those are to CC or stun-lock you, that you need to be an over-excitible, in the peek of your mutlit-tasking prime of 17 yrs old, to get any enjoyment outta of pvp'n.

my biggest problem as an unholy is the other teammates dyeing then the switch happens and the same one dies again out of 154 matches I've only died 3 times and it took awhole team to kill me ALL 3 times my points are suffering bad because of that solo is harder and you cant carry everyone every game if i could id be gladiator already at low ranks none of this helps. people attack the weakest or what they think is the weakest and either die doing it or maybe win maybe.
