Those Purple Grapes are cool Lucite from the 1960's, they were advertised in magazines in kits to make yourself. I dont know how well they sell online but they always sold well in my antique shop. They are very mid century modern!!

The wood tray with the foldout hinged sides was a men's valet to put on a gentleman's dresser to hold his cufflinks, watch, pen etc. In essence a jewelry box but referred to as a valet

You definitely needed to grab those grapes! You can get at least $35, and that’s for the smaller bunches. Ive even seen them listed for $75 and $100. It’s crazy!! Anything lucite is incredibly popular right now. And if you’re lucky enough to find lucite candles at Goodwill, you’ve hit the thrifters jackpot!

Love Mugs. Went to a Goodwill a couple hours away and was SO surprised by the prices - they were SO HIGH - I won't complain about our prices around here anymore :-) - mugs there were AT LEAST $1.99 and up - here they are .50-$1.00 - so different and only a couple hours apart - crazy
@christenascott91002 жыл бұрын
I used to go to Goodwill all the time. Then I found out it was a for-profit store. And then in the early 2000s, their prices skyrocket. Now you go in and you can’t find anything under five dollars. So I don’t even go into Goodwill when I travel, because I have such a bad taste in my mouth and the one in my local town! But you’re doing good!

23:25 Those solar boxed build it sets can be $8-250+ depending they can be expensive to buy the problem is getting complete or unused ones. and the Galt super marble sets can be expensive and parted out if incomplete.

If they were acrylic grapes (ie Lucite) yes you probably should have gotten them. Acrylic is not the same as plastic. It's crystal clear and very 60s & 70s because it was new. I probably would have also bought the acrylic bars with the fuscia and blue injections unless they were a ridiculous price.

If you put the chain of a necklace in a clear zip lock bag and leave about an inch or less out of the top and zip it closed right up to the chain hanging out on both sides, it will not get tangled. I learned it from my jeweler. I always wondered why he returned jewelry back to me with a little part hanging out of the top zip lock bag.

Not really. That's the most and major stuff that people are donating. My SA is overwhelmed with clothing. I think that people are minimizing. You have estate sales that are left with a lot of clothing. I'm finding a lot of OLD clothing from the early and mid 2000s.

A Goodwill in our area got destroyed by a tornado and they rebuilt it and it looks almost exactly like this new one you've shown here. TONS of clothes, SO MANY clothes. Tiny little section in the back for hardgoods. 😤 They had a pretty good shoe section, though, so it might be worth an occasional trip. I'm just not that into clothes -- esp not to sell.
