I think as we get older, if we work on it, negative talk decreases a lot or can go away. When I was in my 20s I was awful to myself. Now I'm in my mid 30's and the only negative talk I do is getting annoyed when I eat a donut when I was supposed to be healthy. But if someone doesn't like me/judges me, I know it's them and not me, and I know I'm capable and worthy. I don't have time or energy to spend on worrying about myself, my mind is spent on ideas or creativity or daydreaming or being in the moment. I know I would never talk to a friend the way I had talked about myself in the past, so I know I don't ever want to feed myself those negatives words either, because as you said, manifesting is real, and energy flows where attention goes. But yeah, as you get older you kind of give less f*cks LOL

I was in an abusive relationship for 4 years and as a result I deal with negative self talk a lot, I go through life when I’m upset or overwhelmed thinking things like “he was right I’m a failure,” or “I’m ugly”, “I’m fat,” or “I’m a slut” or “nobody loves me,” or “I cry too much,” or “I’m annoying,” or “I shouldn’t double text,” or “I should double text,” just random things that get me in a frenzy or a state of worry and this year I’m trying to focus more on not letting those thoughts get to me because in the end if he truly loved me he wouldn’t have ever said those things to me and he wouldn’t have left me, my current boyfriend I can literally tell is my soulmate and he recognizes the signs of abuse because his mom had been in an abusive relationship before and instead of running away or thinking of me negatively he actually listens and let’s me cry and reaffirms the positive truths about me and it really helps me get past what I’ve been through and I love reflecting on the thought that I have somebody in my life now other than family who loves me for all of my flaws and reminds me daily of how amazing I really am 😊

Welcome to the channel Lanka. I can't believe how much he has grown in a few months. All he needed was a little love and he found that with you & Alex. Thanks for another wonderful video and for always being a beacon of light and hope on here. It is possible to have a successful channel with positivity and no drama.

Your videos are so helpful and the tips so useful. Could you do a video giving ideas of what to do when you are lonely or feeling lonely? And Lanka is so cuteee! Sending lot of good vibes ❤️🙏🏻

Lonely is rough hope you get through that you are not alone. I try to keep busy and do things like go to the beach and enjoy the sound of the sea. Sometimes its lil things that help distract people from loneliness

Hi Carrie, love your videos. In the middle of a divorce right now but I saw one of your videos last month and it convinced me to make 2019 my year of self love. One point of constructive criticism, it's hard to see the text in the boxes because I watch your videos on my phone. Please consider increasing the font size. Thanks!

I literally just posted this week about how I wanted to quit negative self talk and replace it it was the positive ❤️. I catch myself thinking and saying negative things like I'm fat, I'm dumb, I'm bad. Or I look at a situation and then say I'm bad for not taking care of it. I'm not a bad person by letting my dishes pile up. I recognize when I say I'm bad and then you usually get mad for thinking it. You've given some good tips to over come that.

“The things that I’m overwhelmed about, I’m lucky to have in my life.” I love that. There have definitely been times where I’ve complained about everything that’s going wrong instead of taking a moment to be grateful for all the love and blessings I have in my life.

Hey Carrie, I am right now kind of binge watching your videos every single day because I was seeking for motivation and possibilities to love and accept myself. I had gone through a very hard time at the end of 2018 and suffered an eating disorder I am trying to heal from right now. And I really have the feeling that by watching your videos, I heal more and more ❤🌻 Thank you so much! I ❤ U

Lanka is just the sweetest. I’m always telling myself I’m rubbish at work or I don’t know anything. I work in within the public sector in the uk, in a specialised role. I love my job and what I do, but it’s almost imposter syndrome? If you can call it that. I feel like I’m not good enough, or that any given moment I’ll be told by a boss I’m rubbish. I always give my all at work but I just always think I’m never good enough. Everyone around me seems much more together than me xx

this video was just perfect as i made it a goal of mine to be kinder to myself this year (...and years moving forward) and that includes not having such negative self-talk and it has been going quite well. i noticed even little comments such as "I'm stupid" "lol i hate myself" (like when you do something "dumb") ... that's negative and it affects you even when you don't realize it. ...and these were such great tips that i cannot wait to implement more into my life. thank you carrie. ❤

Lanka is so adorable!! So happy to have you back here with self-love Sunday ❤️Always such an inspiration Carrie. Since the New Year hit I was hoping to crush some fitness goals and when life hit and expectation was challenged I noticed myself being so down on not being able to keep up. Positive self-talk and lowing self judgement was so huge in finding the path to happiness and balance again in January. xx

What I struggle with the most is feeling like I’m not good enough to be in the position that I am right now as a girlfriend of an amazing guy, as a student of a good college and as a friend of amazing people. I know that I’m lucky to have all these things and I’m beyond grateful for them but that doesn’t change my insecurities that I’ve accumulated from the past. I’m tired of feeling like that and hurting myself with self destructing thoughts. I want to change. Your video helped me understand that before I think a self destructing thought I first have to ask myself if it’s even real or if it’s just an insecurity from the past that I have to work on.

First, how adorable is Lanka?! The cutest! Another great video. I struggle with believing things that are too good to be true-like paying off a debt or traveling somewhere I’ve always wanted to go. This year, I’m believing that all is possible. I’m going to pay off the debt. We are going to buy that house and I’m going on this trip. Thank you for being such a huge self-love advocate, Carrie!

I’m definitely trying to get past thinking it’s a personal problem. For example if someone snaps at me I don’t think “oh they’re just having a bad day” I’m like “oh no what did I do wrong”. And I think that’s definitely something I need to work on

This really helped me so much! I had a relationship that just stopped... he ghosted me. Well, I thought maybe because I was ugly, not fit enough, confident enough etc... So I was trying to quell these feelings through telling myself that I am amazing. But I still struggle, and I will be watching this video again and again. Many thanks to you.💖💖💖❣

what I struggle with re this topic: when I think a thing about myself so much that it gets reflected back to me, and suddenly that is my identity. Though, I am in the process of actively personally growing, but that reflection I mentioned already got reinforced, so it is more challenging to move forward with personal growth, specifically thinking better about myself.

Thank you for making this video Carrie! I have come a loooong way when it comes to dealing with negative self talk. I am more aware of it now which is great, but it can be brought out especially when I’m around my family. We’re more of a negative bunch... see the glass half empty rather than full. It’s definitely hard dealing with being around that but I try my best to just let go of things that I can’t control- like other people. Not easy though! Keep doing what you’re doing!! I love this series 💗💗💗

Thank you for the tips Carrie! Next time Lanka is playing tug with your dress try moving gently into his space. Dogs have personal space just like us and if you walk right into him he should back up and tune in to figure out what you want! (I'm a dog trainer and also dealing with puppy mom life. Dress biting is the worst haha!) ♡♡♡

I wanna an asmr video of Lanka chewing his snack hahahaha just kidding Negative self talk is something I had always done - still do of course. As a child I didn't know what negative self talk is. As I grew up I knew I was negative about my self imagine. I managed being positive at times as an young adult. However, in the past 8 years I got really hard on myself and only a few months ago I started therapy. I feel much better. The journey is long and there isn't a final moment when everything will be alright but knowing how to deal with situations and thoughts and having supportive people around me is the only way to live life. Your videos are great ❤

I heard on a show once to ask yourself is this a fact or a feeling? Also when you notice yourself saying something dis-empowering and mean to yourself you can say "cancel cancel" Another way to think about it, if I had a friend that talked to me the way I talk to myself would we still be friends?

Don’t give your dog rawhides they commonly splinter the intestines and can kill your dog. My dog had this happen and he almost died he had diarrhea everywhere and lost a ton of weight and wouldn’t eat for a long time
