I was partial to the Frost Giant's- Surya.Nice looking pedal, even better sounding. Sweet Fuzzy Syrupy goodness. 1981-DRV retained xlnt.harmonics while driven.

Great Demo as usual. I Would like to say that I think that the 1981 paired with whatever rich Fuzz one desires would be the ticket. Enhancement.

Was that a little RHCP in the background of the Freakshow?? Sounded killer! Probably still going to go with either the 1981 DRV or a Walrus Iron Horse when I pick up a distortion

I love the 1981 ( and may purchase one ) and the Big Joe Sounded Evil - real-nice for Doom or Stoner Rock. ( all nice / great demo ) Those were my 2 Favorites.

Is the 1981 really worth it? I have a time king and it’s a little bright already at low volumes. I have a Jekyl and Hyde V1 I love for that Indie Rock Overdrive sound. But the Hyde distortion side loses definition on the higher notes and gets spiky and washed away. My Tone King amp is really sensitive to that stuff and pedals….so I find myself having to really consider higher end pedals to get the right tone. I saw someone using this with a Tone King and it sounded great for Indie Rock! But at that price wouldn’t the JHS pack rat be a better idea?

Hello, connect my pedal for 100 days to a 12V eliminator, my pedal works perfectly, but I'm afraid of some internal damage. How can I check it?
@carlosvillegas87752 жыл бұрын
Does still making noise? Then its good. 3v is not a huge difference to damage any internal circuits

That is a great Les Paul Andy, sounds great looks awesome, can you tell the version it is? (Traditional etc). I have a morning glory, 69 mkII Fuzz, and Dirty Little Secret into a Princeton and you can do so so much with it, but I would like 1 more dirt that’s really unique. But I don’t know, maybe a Filaments or this 1981, do you have (or anyone) have a favorite that is different from the most popular sounds I have right now? If not cool, great video!

Jason Guion looks like a custom shop, probably a r9

It should say up top. Custom shop I do believe. You're correct, it sounds gorgeous. They got that one right.
@teriakamoto5 жыл бұрын
The 1981 sounds a lot different than the Filaments. Two completely different types of distortion and break up. I have a Filaments. Nice enough pedal. The 1981 does have some great harmonic clarity.
@himanshuhimanshu23313 жыл бұрын
I have a filaments; it's more geared towards metal and hardcore punk, it's great but might not necessarily suit your needs
@himanshuhimanshu23313 жыл бұрын
But if you do get a filaments, you can easily twiddle around with the knobs to make it sound like the 1981; it has a really versatile eq. Among these the freakshow fuzz sounded the best for my own playing style, and got the germanium version a month ago used, it's great for doom metal
