Ontario has a Rat in Magnacut now for like $89 and it HRC tested at 63.8. I was shocked but the Rat is a great hard use knife with a great steel now.

Some great knives at good prices, it's great that you can get premium materials st relatively great prices these days makes them very obtainable no matter your budget, of course the more money you spend the more bells and whistles you can get but still great value for the money. Thanks for the great vid and keep making sharp things fun and enjoyable

The story on the designer of the Artisan Boa, holy shit! "17-year-old Canadian knifemaker, Johnathan Shaw is the youngest designer on the Artisan Team." 😳A 17 yr old designed that knife. I'm at a loss lol, blown away!

First aid kits are underrated! I’ve had one for years beating around in the truck. It’s been used more than my hammer. I say that to say this MAKE SURE YOU REPLENISH YOUR KITS!! I stuck the blade of my razor harp hatchet in-between the the hand and big knuckle bones the other day and discovered that after years my kit was DRASTICALLY underprepared for this! I was down to the little tiny bandaids and some random shiz. I had to improvise with shirts and masking tape but it woulda been nice to have good sterile care on hand. Don’t keep putting off getting a good kit. You may regret it sooner than u think. At the least maybe you could help others with your new kit. Believe it or not Americans used to help each other out when needed now we just hate and point cameras.

Hey Jared you should sharpen up that Lionsteel and see how the MagnaCut does. Would be an interesting video. We could see if Italian steel is still shit or if it’s actually improved in the past couple years.

Hello Jared, long time fan of your work and reviews! I know this might be the wrong place to ask this question, but when dealing with angle sharpeners, like the TSPROF, etc, do you still need to wet the stones they use?? I have seen you on occasion wet some but for the most part you and everyone who shows how to use these systems, I never see anyone keeping them wet? Any help would be appreciated as I’m an okay sharpener but when I don’t wanna bust out my stones, it’s one of these systems I’m looking at to help friends and family to just make mostly kitchen knives sharp without being scalpel like! Merry Christmas and thanks for your advice on your awesome channel!

But do they have 3d handle design? or are you holding a brick while claiming its the "most ergonomic thing ever" like all knife youtubers, never having used it for any hard work in your life?

Sorry to disappoint but this content creators was born and raised in construction, starting at 10 years old full time for 20+ years. Been carrying and using knives since the age of 5. Grew up in the projects where I've seen real knife attacks including on myself. Ergonomics are based upon its use imho I always am a straight shooter

I just need to know, is everybody that collects things, a loser? I have never been around so many losers as when I went to blade show. Boat, car, even dog shows don't have this level of loser. I'm definitely getting into the business, no other industry has this type of customer, you'd have to be stupid to not make money off them. I'm a fisherman and hunter, I've never been around men like this, they're more woman than man.

Collecters are allegedly compensating for control in the outside world by hoarding things which don't get used according to many psychologists. I collected coins, postage stamps, sea shells and rocks (mineral and mining examples) as a child but grew out of it. I had undiagnosed myopia (short sightedness). With corrected vision much of the knowledge acquired was useful. Haven't been to a 'show' in my life except music festivals for music and females North America do better shows I imagine. It takes all kinds ,here in the UK 'collectors' shows are business opps which are more about making money from what l've learned about chatbots its only rhetoric. I wonder if you have ever been wet ,cold or in need of knife. Interesting observation tho 😁
