Got it in with AA vs 99 preflop with around 35bb. 99, 88 and KQ suited were folded out preflop, villain hits runner runner flush.

Last 10 of the sunday milly anniversary, $1 milly up top & 64k gteed. I jam sb with A6 for 10bb & bb calls with KQ off 11bb. This is a 40k pay jump and ft bubble, K on the river hurt so bad

When I started play live 10 months ago, I went 14 FT bubble or $$$ bubbles in a row.

i come from cash game and recently discovered the complexity of tournaments and find it very interesting. Thanks for such a good overview on ICM. But i dont quite get why the short stacks have the highest risk premium on the bubble but the medium stacks are the ones who are ,handcuffed, and should not really play a lot of hands. Couldnt they also put a lot of pressure on the short stacks if no big stack is acting after them?

Short stacks have a high risk premium on the bubble because their ev comes from securing a min cash. The odds of running deep after a min cash for a short stack are low, so securing the min cash on a bubble is worth more than gambling. Middle stacks should be incentivized to apply pressure and gamble with the shorter stacks if there’s no other big stacks left to act because this would allow the bigger stack to apply icm pressure by 3betting, 4betting wider.

It would be really good if you could cover mystery bounty tournaments.

Hi. When I use the very same scenario in the got wizard (tip 4# example) it tells me to 3bet to 4.5 from the button and not to 5. Why is that? thx
@Stefan-bn4wh10 ай бұрын
and how do you calculate this same scenario for chip ev? it this even possible in GTOW? Because I would have to use 25 average stacks and then the ranges are different. thx!

There are many different solutions available. The optimal 3-bet size depends on the number of antes in the pot (how many players were dealt in) the interplay of other stacks at the table, position, and tournament phase.

Yesterday I played 3 dollors torney. 3 to the money in I was 3rd in chips 4th player had 3.5bb. I had 8.7 chip leader had 14bb 2nd had 10bb. I was in the bb having with 77. SB which is 2nd in chips shoved. Do i have to fold this spot or 77s are too good to fold. Please let me know. Also teach me which hand is borderline in this situation.

99-tt / ace qsuited plus given the risk. with 7s ur most likely flipping and the reward of calling will greatly help you win the tourny. so its not a horrible call but this close to the money do you really wanna gamble and he turns over tt jj qq or kk aa i guess it depends on the villian and how tight he has bin playing.

Played a bounty tournament on PokerStars yesterday . First hand had aces , they were cracked by Queen 10, did a rebuy second hand my king jack cracked aces. Third hand at a new table now I arrive as aces are cracked, and the 4th hand was an aces win. Also my first 7 hands were face cards/premiums against other monsters. lol you just gotta laugh

Quiz answers: 1- Stacks and payouts 2- 50% field left 3- Shortest stack 4- Less flatting more 3betting 5- The less equity realization we have due to ICM and risk premium the more we fold vs RFI from the BB and vice-versa
