I wasn’t trying to be a creep but I noticed you wrote something about feeling like you don’t belong or fit into society and it just resonated with me. I feel like that a lot and it’s a lonely feeling so I just wanted to let you know you’re not alone 💜

This is a very common feeling in autistic women, especially if they haven't been diagnosed.

I love your final point about not being afraid to read outside of our comfort zone... I struggled with that for a long time, and only just now, in my forties, begin to explore more and expand my readings.

I love your book comment about reading outside your comfort zone! It’s true, just because you read about someone doesn’t mean you are giving them your endorsement. In fact, it makes you more informed. Maybe this will give me the courage to read The Gulag Archipelago.

I like what you said about taking down notes about people. I do this as well whether they are "bad" or "good" and it's true what you emphasized about taking down notes about them, but it doesn't mean that you believe or follow them. A lot of people cancel people just because they post something against their side.

I love watching your channel. I usually don't comment on your page but felt led to do so on this one. I am so sorry you had that experience where you received comments about what you were reading. I am American and I don't know what has happened where people cannot have good discussions even if they believe different things. I enjoyed the days where we could sit down with a group of friends. We were of different religions and practices but we learned from each other and enjoyed our conversations. I still have those friends and we still enjoy each others company, but in the greater society here it's not that way. If you have a differing view somehow you are now an enemy. Keep being who you are. I love the way you embrace life and people. 🙂

When you wrote down your thoughts about the book and how you relate, particularly where you prefer to be alone and said you struggle to connect with people even though you can feel empathy, it floored me because that’s EXACTLY how I feel. I’m very introverted and my day consists of work and going home to be with my cats or staying inside all day on my days off keeping to myself and doing small things like sewing and cleaning. I’m really struggling with coming to that realization right now because I’m almost finished with going to school for my masters in social work so I can be a therapist and I’m worried about if this realization is going to change my post grad plans and if this is a sign that I shouldn’t be a therapist. If that’s the case then I don’t know where to go next. It’s a lot for me to process and I’m verrrryyy nervous. Anyways I just wanted to say thank you for this video because it was very informative and inspiring but also eye opening for me.

Great ideas! I do not really journal about my day, I more like the commonplace book format! So love the ideas of writing recipes and notes! Mariane Cresp mentioned in one of her live videos that just writing some of your favorite song lyrics or recipes can be mindful. So I like the idea of writing recipes notes, poems, quotes/Bible verses, and song lyrics. Nature journaling is an idea, too! Your brown butter chocolate chip cookies look amazing! I think it is fun you create captions!

I like to read about people's lives, some of these people have done unthinkable things, it doesn't mean I agree. I also watch a lot of true crime but it doesn't make me a criminal. Being well read or well informed is just that. If anyone thinks otherwise then its a them issue and not a you issue x

Helen, I have a question for you that I hope you might be able to answer 😅 The way you draw people while people-watching… What do you call that type of drawing? When it’s lines and contours? Is it a specific art type? I want to learn how to draw like that but don’t know what to search for. Thanks for amazing content and products 🩷

@@TheCoffeeMonsterzCo thank you for replying Helen 🥰 I really want to improve my own drawing and I just love this style. I’ve seen others do similar but it’s difficult to pinpoint a name for it. I’m thinking of maybe having a look around Skillshare to see if anyone offers a class in this type of drawing. *hint hint 😜 I know you are super busy and I don’t want you to overwork more than you do. I guess I’m just saying that you are so talented and so awesome in so many ways. A true inspiration to all of us 🩷
