I use a cheese grater to shred the frozen butter into the flour for biscuits. Works great.

Cannellini beans might also be a good addition to the soup.

Completely agree & maybe both Potatoes & Canellini Beans. The Canellini beans could be mashed & thicken the soup too?! Great idea! ❤

Dearest, you should try this Brussel sprout recipe, it’s a winner!! Large fresh Brussels, ends cut off. Wrap in bacon and brush on maple syrup. Roast in oven, continue to baste with maple syrup until done. They are FANTASTIC!! I also want to say, most cooking shows say TIME. ITS ACTUALLY pronounced “THIGH-M”. Like your upper leg with an M on the end. (ROSEMARY and THYME) 💕🙏🙏

Don't peel.your carrots!!! Everyone peels them. Why? Give a good wash and leave the peels on. So many vitamins are in the peel. Great video!!
@kaylakitty38147 ай бұрын
Peeling carrots is a personal preference for me. I’m not worried about losing a few nutrients in the peel.
@sandybowman71407 ай бұрын
I thot I was the only one who does that! I leave the tiny "hairs" on them too - I think of them as roots that want to sprout, & we eat Sprouts & bread that's sprouted right!? Great comment! I totally agree! The carrots will "brown" bc of the broth anyway, & they're invisible.
@sandybowman71407 ай бұрын
@@kaylakitty3814I agree that when not in broth, carrots are prettier when peeled. But u seriously can't tell once they soak up the broth! ❤

Amber, this was a good episode. I love roasted veg too, but Brussels have high purines that cause Gout flares. I miss them, but not enough to loose the use of an arm or leg or both from Uric Acid crystals. Also, Trader Joe's has frozen mashed sweet potatoes in puck sizes, I tend to go for the easiest prep, but definitely love the idea of adding them for fiber. We all need that! Thanks for all the practical recipes! ❤
