I love my ER4XR, just bought two. Wow a treasure. I have many IEM's but by far, this one's my favorite now. It is just unbelievable how live or studio HiRes tracks just pops and comes alive. I get goosebumps just listening my favorite tracks. I live all kinds of music, but decided to put on some blast from the past with Beatie Boys 'Licensed to Ill' album... just can't stop smiling! Well done Etymotics, I am forever your fan!
@sK0pe-d9b Жыл бұрын
I've used Etymotics since the 90s they've been amazing. I've tried other IEMs and the fit is just difficult. The easy way is to put a drop of water on your finger touch the flanges and insert with a slight turn and you will forget you have anything in your ears. It's also the reason I have retained my hearing for so long.
@kyoroshidest18652 жыл бұрын
Seeing you talk about these guilty pleasure IEM I can really see the passion for IEMs in you eye. I'm still playing around 200$ IEMa and yet have found my endgame. Mostly collect around $50 IEM. Also my guilty pleasure IEM is the Shuoer Tape Pro. Some people may hate it, some may love it.

I think the more sets you listen to and collect, the more you tend to start preferring gears with a distinct character to them. There's only so many neutral and balanced sets you'd go through before it starts getting repetitive and boring. Audio gear is a fun hobby because there's so many different ways to enjoy your favorite music after all. My guilty pleasure would be the Kinera Imperial Skuld. It doesn't have competent dynamics and it's a very colored sound, but there's a satisfying thickness to the notes in the midrange that gives this beefy yet articulate character that I haven't heard in any other sets I've tried.
@TonkyTronicus2 жыл бұрын
FDX1 has some of the best neutral bass I've heard. Extends very deep and sounds pretty effortless, almost like drums glide over the top of the track.

@Polyfusia2 жыл бұрын
Several of those serve different purposes. Analytical vs best in class bass etc. I wouldn't pit something like the Z1R against the Anole VX, as they each offer a high performing option with a different philosophy of use. It would be like comparing the best off-road vehicle with the fastest sports car. They are both excellent at one thing that the other is useless at.

Yup, don't need a lot of power. Just a dab, like a low powered DAC/AMP. I used Dragonfly Cobalt. These just become massive, like a full sized cans. These IEMs are some of the most underrated IEMs out there. I just can't see myself plunking down thousands on Campfire Andromeda when these does 99% of what CF Andromedas can do.

@arghadeepmisra78652 жыл бұрын
3:24 No No, you had it there , under 300 it is the best IEM. The tuning of 7hz is flawed in almost every way somewhere a little(BASS) somewhere a lot(Mid and Treble). ER2SE is work of art, Leonardo Da Vinci drawn its FR response from 20-20K Hz. (f, and only if you are looking for PERFECT & NEAR PERFECT tuning that any IEM could ever have.)
@DanTraa2 жыл бұрын
The tuning is really, really pretty. It looks like it was drawn. Unfortunately, in my experience, it's just not suitable for my library. The driver just seems like it's unable to keep up with the pace. Plus the deep, intrusive fit. It's wearable in my ears and the isolation is just satisfying, but I can't wear them for more than 40 minutes. 1+ hour on a lucky day. But again, the FR is just so beautiful

Earfun free pro 2 + Oluv Gadgets EQ, AKG N400NC or Galaxy buds Pro. AKG N400NC and Galaxy Buds pro everyone talks good things about it. I also have Moondrop Aria BTW., still love the Pro 2 + EQ. And when i say EQ its direct on the firmware, can change 1 time and them forget about it. Some people dont like EQ, i also, but on every single one TWS they already have fabric EQ on it, with DSP correction, soo yeah… you would only be changing it.

Between the UM MEST mk2 and Monarch mk2 which one has better soundstage and detail?
@NJN78782 жыл бұрын
They are both neck and neck in terms of detail and soundstage. The monarch is a little more analytical and a little more "airy" in its presentation, so music that isnt recorded really well sounds bad. The Mest MKII got quite a bit more energy in its replay. You can listen to nearly everything on it. So it depends on your preferences.
