Just need to add for number 1. In the story mode Braniac battle one of his attacks actually attack from behind you. You need to block it properly or risk being grabbed by his tentacle hentai of doom.

#1 is HIGHLY inaccurate. You don't block in 1 direction as Cross-Ups are still a thing. The game registers BLOCK as being the direction away from your opponent so any damage that would be blockable is blocked no matter the direction as long as you are holding away from the opponent.
