EDIT: Apparently "pyoko pyoko" is the leaping sound, not a croak! The definitions for this one were diff on all the sites we checked, but my Japanese viewers seem to agree that it's the leaping sound! ;)

I can't believe you guys didn't try "Tokyo tokkyo kyoka-kyoku kyou kyuukyo kyoka kyakka". I don't remember the exact translation but I vaguely remember "the tokyo post offices mailing postcards to the tokyo parents association" or something along those lines. There is also Ruru's full name (from Musaigen no Phantom World) which is 「るるらるりるららりららるるりりらりりららるるららるるららりらり」. Both are equally as good tongue twisters.

I don't understand why so many people on KZbin seem to hate black licorice. I LOVE it so much, and I kind of laugh when I see things like, Punishment Game: Black Licorice, because for me, that would be the best (worst?) punishment. Hehe. I really like your videos, they're very interesting and informative! I am hoping to visit Japan soon, and I will definitely be using some of the things I have learnt from your videos. Arigato!

この竹垣に竹立てかけたのは竹立てかけたかったから竹立てかけたのです。 Usually Japanese people I challenged with this beat me in contest, even though I'd thought I had it down pretty well x). It seems to roll off a native tongue far better than a foreigner's.

The first Japanese tongue twister I learned is 「この猫ここ猫の子猫、この子猫ね」。Another one I recently learned is 「李も桃、桃も桃、李も桃も桃の家」。And then there's one that's not really a tongue twister, but more a play on words/kanji readings: 「子子子子子子子子子子子子」(猫[の]子子猫、獅子[の]子子獅子)。

Sharla, here in Virginia, persimmons are extremely bitter, prior to the first frost. They're rather small, maybe the size of a small plum, and kind of dun-colored. After the first frost, they're good, and you can make a jam out of them. But if you eat them before the frost (and every kid does, just from curiosity) they'll just about turn your mouth inside out!

Wow, they are Nice tongue twister speaker, I think they are better than me(I'm a Japanese).すごかった!!! Let me introduce A traditional Japanese long tongue twister. It was a long line in a play in Edo era, and now you can see this in traditional KABUKI play, or we sometimes use it for rookie actor's tongue training. hey I've been watching your videos for some years now and I really like them. I want to visit Japan this year but I don't want to be a tourist and I want to blend in with the people. Can you tell me how are people towards foreigners? For example can I find people warm and friendly to talk to in a random bar or are they helpful?
