Not only are you a wonderful player but also so knowledgable & respectful of its origins, AND an excellent teacher. It's almost annoying! It doesn't surprise me that you love Barry Harris (RIP) - I'm confident he would be very proud of you!

I find it far easier to understand your English than a third of my fellow countrymen here in the U.S., half of Great Britain, and a lot of Aussies and Kiwis. Only once have you said anything that I didn't understand and that was the last video I watched when you said, "line cliche". I have never heard anyone say that before in English so my first thought was that it was a Dutch or German term. At least that's what it sounds like when I pronounce it - aleinklische. I really love that first exercise's sound. Thanks for the wonderful lesson. My timer went off halfway through telling me my corn-on-the-cob was done but I was so entranced with the lesson that I just let it boil rather than pause the video:))

Fantastic! One tweak to the last one: keep the top note in your right hand the same, while descending chromatically with the root. Just fill in some voicings and you'll get some nice robert glasper-esque textures.

Never apologize for your English. I really think you have that rare talent seen in some of those artists you speak of yourself. If I close my eyes and listen , I think that I am listening to Bill Evans or Barry Harris... of course it is your own heart that u put into your playing that makes it so wonderful. . I feel lucky to be a subscriber to your channel. Thank you for your lessons.

@Luke Monsensey actually i really dig her talent. She has helped my playing a lot. That’s all dude. I’m 60 years old , a physician with little time other than my work , family and my jazz which keeps me sane. Was a serious pianist in my youth classically but take whatever I can’t take from the great masters to make my playing better. She is I believe one of the new greats. Hope u understand. God bless.

For a non-musican (cloud computing professional, actually), I also learned a lot from (THE DOCTOR) Barry Harris and all his videos (A BUNCH are on KZbin from his European teaching tour around 1990). His methodology, which was based around practicing patterns and scales and 'answers' so much they become second nature, I apply to my computer studies...IT WORKS THERE TOO !! Now, my actual comment: After hearing the second exercise; I was screaming "THIS GIRL BEEN STUDYING BARRY HARRIS HARD".....and a few minutes later, you admitted it. Barry is not only a master musician, he's also a master teacher...and in that, a master student......if one learns how he learns, they too can become a lifetime master student-teacher !

Thank you for that expansion. I can read your music notation but the hard thing to do is playing a chord in the left hand and lead in the right hand finding that coordination. One of the chord progressions that you perform sounds like something Robert Glasper would execute Overall, I enjoyed what you gave us, thanks again.
