Just wanted to give you a powertip! When drilling a hole with a forstner bit, start the drill in reverse, then switch to normal. This will give a cleaner hole with less tare out.

Still HERE. And @18:15 I always wanted to test human vs tablesaw strength. The force of the spinning blade is substantial and I've often wondered how a jig like this would stand up to it. I know the primary purpose is to get accurate cuts and slow down kick backs. But I've wondered how much it would slow down or prevent kickback on an actual saw.

5:00 If you screw in the knobs from the backside, they are not interfering with the push stick. (Evt. place a counter sink carriage bolt head on the front side, if you make a fence jig and don't have the "slide in" clamp)

Here. I’d love to see how these compare to the Jessem stock guides
@731Woodworks
@731Woodworks Жыл бұрын
Really the main difference would be the stock guides "pull" the stock toward the fence while a weatherboard pushes it toward the fence. This is a much less expensive option, especially if you already have some of the hardware like match fit or mag switches.
@CyberBobCity
@CyberBobCity Жыл бұрын
@@731Woodworks I don't currently have any match fit or mag switches. Curious which setup would be more useful. Thoughts?
@731Woodworks
@731Woodworks Жыл бұрын
@@CyberBobCity The MagSwitches you can use in several jigs (even with the Jessem). I think the Bow featherboards are better for anti-kickback. I like the Jessem guides for sheet goods to help hold them to the table and pull toward the fence.
