As someone who plays this deck alot and consistently wins with it I disagree you're losing so much value by sitting on your commander and this deck plays what I call a race style protecting your commander can be a weakness but this isn't a high power deck anyways and when playing casual not everyone kills your commander alot

Just because your friends don’t target your commander and let you win doesn’t mean that everyone has the same experience. People in Jersey are a bit more cutthroat in a casual setting and when you experience that style of play it’ll make you think twice about casting your commander. Better to be safe than sorry in my humble opinion, I’ve won a bunch of games with this precon by playing slow and when I finally play my commander I end and win the game in one to three turns at the most.

@GSIron your commander is also your draw draw wins games my friends don't let me win anything but if I wasn't playing my commander they would attack me either way I would be doing nothing in return this deck is made to out pace

The deck can be played and win in multiple ways, I’m just saying if you played against my friends they would just kill your commander every time they could, if I played against your friends, I would play the way you are playing

Ehh Bello being a 3 drop and then being able to drop a 4mv artifact/enchantment the next turn and swing right away because of haste means it’s pretty well curved. Plus Path of Discovery would have seen all the other artifact/enchantments enter as a creature because of Bello so you would have gotten even more value out of them. Waiting to get 4 4mv+ artifacts/enchantments out then casting Bello without any current card draw/advantage can lead to your opponents being setup by then.

There are no ways to protect bello in this deck so playing this way will risk him dying to removal and then paying more mana. I would rather play him and attack with multiple creature to draw multiple cards to get most of his ability versus playing him getting no attack off for a turn cycle and then maybe drawing a card next turn when I attack with a creature. When you upgrade the deck, I agree with your style

When playing this deck for the first time, I had to recast Bello at least 3 times during the game. Even then, I manage to win. The pros of it is that he’s cheap and because of all the ramping, I could pay it’s cost with no problem on late game. Also, he being the target, takes the attention from other threats I had on my side of the board.

This strategy might work for the precon, straight out of box, but the only issue I see with it is that if you are only playing high level enchantments/artifacts until you have at least 4, you are in a way a sitting duck. I've been slowly upgrading it and I have found that if you add a couple pieces of protection and artifacts(primarily vehicles) that create tokens you can get going as quickly as turn 3 or 4. Ramp on turn 1-2, play Bello by turn 3, and turn 4 play a 4 mana enchant/creature to start getting card draw. There are a lot of great cards in the deck that support this strategy such as Esika's Chariot and Path of Discovery! I agree that you have to be wary of Bello getting targeted and I like the strategy you devised. Just wanted to share my strategy with the deck!

Yea, a lot of subscribers tell me they have no idea how or intention to upgrade the precons they buy, so I always create the guides from the perspective of playing the deck as it is, against other non upgraded precons

@GSIron Oh, I didn't realize this was intended as a strategy to use against other non upgraded precons. If that is the case, then this definitely works pretty well!

Bello is so good in the early game 💀 play him early swing at people with indestructible creatures before they have blockers that are too big and draw into even more enchantments and artifacts or more ramp

I play this deck against my friends and they don't know how to deal with the deck other than removing Bello (playgroup doesn't have enchantment/artifact removal) so I tend to get hyper aggressive with it

How about spells like “back to nature” and “seeds of innocence” that destroy all enchantments or all enchantments + all artifacts? If you have had Bello out during your turn, then all your stuff is indestructible meaning that you can wipe off all opponents’ enchantments and artifacts for 2-3 mana

@@GSIron you do lose most of your mana rocks since their mana value is less than 4. But if other players got sol rings too it will probably hurt them more. The new “season of gathering” is probably the best option, even though it’s expensive since it has multiple non-destroying options

well, one thing you could do is throw in a nice little enchantment creature called archetype of endurance. on your turn, it'll give them hexproof. that means no little surprises. you can basically take your turn anyway you want without fear of some board wipe coming in or something. beyond that, you definitely have to worry about that kind of stuff on everybody else's turn.

My play group says the 4/4 don’t enter the battlefield so half the cards don’t even synergy am I missing something? Or they just salty lol

They enter as creatures because I have seen Bramble Sovereign used in Bello decks copy the artifact/enchantment. The only weird thing I have heard about is timing with God Enchantments like Xenagos, etc...
