Love these garden tours, both for the new perennials and to see the mature size and shape of the plants which makes it much easier to see how and where they would fit into your own landscape!

Heidi, I really like the salvia that has bigger flowers on longer stems and also cat's pajamas that is more compact. Love the dianthus too for their vibrant color in the garden. The razzle dazzle is an ice plant that is a prolific bloomer and they are sold out quickly I believe. I enjoyed watching your video with explanations of what is growing at Walters Gardens! Thank you so much for sharing!

Hi, I am from Canada and recently found your channel. Your videos are so informative and have really helped me with my plants selection. There was a plant with white flowers around the rock which didn't have a tag. Does anyone know the name of the plant by chance? Thank you

If you can send me the time you saw it I can help with a name.

I was under the impression that Heuchera needed to be planted in the shade ? 💐💚🙃

Nope, many can handle sun as well.

Hi, thank you Heidi, these videos are so helpful!, to see the perennials at different stages. I planted several evening gown heucheras in my zone 5 (Montreal), which you featured here, and left the leaves on throughout the winter to protect the crown. One looked particularly ratty in the spring so I cut a lot of it back, and also replanted because it had heaved up a little. It doesn't seem to be regenerating, though, and it's been several weeks, while the other specimens that I didn't touch look marvelous, but seemingly w last year's leaves? Not sure how to best care for them, should I never cut them back as I do all my other perennials in springtime?

Typically heuchera dont take well to trimming. We will trim off dried leaves near the base but usually don trim the crown.

I see that a lot of “shade” plants are planted in full sun,is it possible to then plant in full sun. Walter’s are experts so I’m guessing I might do the same, what’s the advice for planting shade plants in full sun?
@gardencrossings7 ай бұрын
It really is going to be variety dependent. But i can say most of the hostas are field grown in full sun.

Many of the varieties can handle full sun depending on your location.
