Dont forget Ray uses a stiff bar, whilst Daniel pulled on a DL Bar. And Ray close call failed his 3rd DL, which wouldve set the Record at over 2500lbs. Sadly he missed the mark. Not taking anything away from Daniel here.

You are assuming a bar makes that much difference? Weights weight.. I doubt the bars going to help that much.
@earningmywings6145
@earningmywings6145 4 жыл бұрын
@@Scootermagoo it indeed does. Especially for the heavier guys. The initial higher flex of a deadlift bar, lets them get into a more efficient starting position, where the Belly is a bit less in their way. That makes it easier to brake the floor, which defos is harder with a stiff bar. Again tho, not taking anything away from Daniel. 👍

A. Wirth Ray Williams competes in the IPF strictest federation he has to walk out his squat and get tested. Where D. Bell uses monolift in an untested federation. Not taking anything away from both these guys but this isn’t an apple to apples comparison.

Larry Wheels did not break the record but equalled it. Also, comparing Daniel Bell's result to Ray Williams is a bit of a stretch. Bell lifted in a federation which has monolift in squat (and squat depth rule is not as strict as in IPF), and deadlift with a flexible bar.
@holliswilliams8426
@holliswilliams8426 2 жыл бұрын
I don't think Larry broke any record, you can't see if the squat is deep enough (he tends to do high squats) and on the bench he drops the bar onto his body and then bounces it and throws it back up with the momentum.

@chrisplante8977
@chrisplante8977 2 жыл бұрын
@@holliswilliams8426 you do understand how bench works in comp right? You can't simply bring it down quickly to bounce it and use that momentum. You are instructed to start the lift, you then lower it to your sternum and wait for the press command, and then lock out and wait for the rack command. If you press or rack the weight before instructed then the lift doesn't count. The event is literally set up to prevent anyone from gaining an advantage of bouncing the weight.

Larry could take the all time world record if he bulked. Yes he bulked to 300 lbs but the man still has the figure of a bodybuilder. Chiseled abs and all. If he REALLY put on the pounds and got fluffy I don’t think he would have much trouble breaking the All time world record total. 900+ squat, 900+ dead and maybe even a 700 bench.

First dudes deadlift was like 10cm off the ground. I'm sorry but when u doing the splits on the damn bar that shit shouldn't even count. Time under load there was a few seconds. If he had to hold that for 1-2 more seconds (aka been properly standing and not doing the splits) then he would not have gotten that all the way up. The guidelines for some lifts are crazy easy to make it way easier. Not saying what he did was easy. Just saying had he not been doing half splits he wouldn't have gotten it to full lockout.

@@roberto125919 I agree, would hardly call that weightlifting. Its powerlifting for sure but oly lifters always get the bar where it should be and shouldn't have to be lumped with that lmao.

@kxkxkx Aahlaad the weights extremely impressive, but there's still rules. Someone could throw a 80 yard hail Mary in football and it'd be insanely impressive but it means nothing if no one catches it. The point is that he didn't lock out, and other people are lifting that much and doing that. There are standards and stuff
