This is a great video! I have had Pachamama in the back of my mind since I stumbled across their site a few years ago. After my 1 year contract at a new job I have ends next year, I think I will take the leap to try their work exchange program. It seems to be extremely soulful and heart opening ❤

Highly reccommend! Even the peace of living in the jungle is deeply healing. Then you layer on the community, the experiences, the rituals. I celebrate you taking a leap!

Thank you so much for this. I want so badly to do work exchange and be part of intentional community, so I searched on KZbin and found this wonderful video. Timing and resources are finally alligning for me to do work exchange soon, and I'm so excited! However, I still need to do a lot of internal, emotional work before I can show up fully and leave the baggage of my insecurities, self-doubt, shame, and defensiveness behind. I can't tell you how helpful it is not only to hear your story of joining community and all the nuggets of wisdom you gained from that, but also to actually witness and absorb your abundant, calm, kind, and open yet protected energy through the screen. You have a very healing presence and manner about you, and it really touched me. Seeing your vulnerability (and hearing that there really are communities full of amazing people like you) made me cry and have hope that I might grow to be as confident, vulnerable, safe, and connected to others one day. I'm so grateful for this and I wish you the best with everything 🌻💛☀️

Hi Jordan. Thank you so much for your message...and thank you for your courage, warmth, and vulnerability ✨ my question for you is: what if there was no "work" to be done "before" you step into intentional community...what if you show up, exactly as you are in this moment, and see what the community and the people in it will teach you? How does that feel...💗

@@SatNamSociety Thank you so much for taking the time to respond to me, it means a lot 💚 Your message is bittersweet for me, I guess because I don't feel like I'm actually good enough in this moment. For lots of different reasons: social anxiety, poor social skills, mood swings, depression, low self esteem, etc. I'm worried that community will be too much for me unless I work my way up to it. I feel like I'd make a fool out of myself, ruin my reputation there and have one less community I could ever return to. But I see your point and I really appreciate your insight. You're probably right that I could just jump in and learn/heal as I go, I'm just scared. I'll keep thinking about it. Thank you!🙏

@@useurnamehehe5427 Hi there, thanks for taking an interest in my situation. I'm sad to say I still haven't visited any intentional communities yet. So much has changed since I last commented here, and I've had to focus on survival and building the foundations of a new life for myself. So much of my time and energy is sucked away with work and I'm more isolated than ever (as I think is the norm for adults nowadays unfortunately). But travel and finding community has never felt more important, and I'm slowly making some savings to get there. I don't think I'll ever _feel_ _ready_ for it though. I can't seem to get rid of my shame and self-doubt. But one day I'll just have to face my fears and go. Best wishes to you and your own journey

Thank you so much for this video! A question: Are the nights there very hot and humid (difficult to sleep)? I am hyper sensitive.... It is warmer than 64,4 grader Fahrenheit / 18 celcius during the nights? And I was glad to hear that internet is not all over since I am senitive to wifi as well 🙏💖

Who knows how long that will take. It could be tomorrow all at once or it could be a 50 year process.
