What's something YOU would put in your DREAM house?

Outlets near ever toilet with a nice bidet on every toilet seat. I call these American bidets as they are more like an electric toilet seat. Bidets also minimize the tp going into your septic.

This sounds almost surreal. An ideal community that not only let's locals live and thrive, but welcomes those of other cultures in. Living off the land but also having the option to drive to a store. Using renewable energy sources. You guys got so lucky. I'm both immensely happy for you 3 and I'm also immensely jealous of you. In my dream home, I'd love to have a secret passageway that leads tona secret room. Soundproof, so I can sing and dance to my hearts content, I could work and have it be completely silent, etc. CONGRATULATIONS guys! Take care and can't wait to see what's next!

Project based learning is so incredibly wonderful! The mix of curiosity & passion & intentional learning are great skills to cultivate. I love when parents set their intentions for their kids schooling/unschooling/brain growing, it shows their wishes for the future. As for a dream house- outdoor shower or clawfoot tub. But I live in Minnesota, so that is indeed a dream 😊 Hard to explain- but the way the sun enters and creates light pockets and rays around the home.

Heya! Awesome that you guys are sharing so much info, thank you so much! And the building plans you have are just.. WOAH! I actually arrived a few weeks ago on the West Coast and I'm already sold!! I'm looking into buying land to build a house for myself and another few to rent out. Still weighing the pro's and con's for a wooden / container / permaculture house.. I love the bamboo you guys did! I'm alone so I'm still figuring out the costs and how I'll be able to fund my dream. I know there's loads of permaculture courses on the East Coast, so I might check that out to do it myself and hire locals to help me out. (if the final price tag allows me to). For me, as a surfer and wannabe herbalist, my dream house would look like this: Huge herbal/flower garden with fruit trees. Outdoor BBQ/oven area. Outdoor shower and shaded lounge area, with hammocks (of course). Cosy indoor living spaces with a natural design of wood / bamboo and rocks. Big windows in the bedroom so you can fully open them and almost sleep under the stars. An outdoor deck to meditate or do yoga. And someday a pool ^^ Please do let me know if you think of someone I should get in touch with that could be of any help or providing me with more information ! Any advice would be much appreciated! 😊🙏

Having a house in CR, I would go with some solar power or a good UPS system. Also a solar hot water system. We have both solar power and hot water. I would build a small house with alot of outside living area under cover. Inside is just for sleeping and bathrooms. Maybe have your kitchen small inside that can expand to the outside. We have learned alot of stuff after the fact and are changing stuff in our house now. Also a pool is a must, and nothing too big in area as the heat will evaporate alot of water in a day.

Well its in an eco-community, in the most beautiful mountains, 10 mins from town, 45 mins from the airport and alongside one of the cleanest rivers in Central America.
