Follow us on this delicious $5 Lunch Challenge, where we find a vegan fast food meal on a budget! We look for the most filling and budget-friendly lunch options. After trying our luck with various fast food options, the winning meal was a scrumptious bowl of Tim Horton's potato wedges paired with Chipotle beans, free hot sauce, ketchup, and a delightful McDonald's iced coffee!

It's hard to even survive off $200 USD a month for one person which used to be the recommended budget. In my area it takes almost 17 hours of work to make that money and that's before taxes

I'm only pescatarian so I eat fish but I also don't eat meat or meat products like lard/soup etc. I've messed up eating not technically vegetarian things like these fries before so I'm not freaking out but still very annoyed. For maccas, you can get a small cheese burger, remove the cheese and patty, add a hash brown, lettuce and tomato and I usually get double onions, pickles and sauce for free!

When I’m do “meat fasting” where I don’t eat meat for a certain period of time (health reasons. Meat makes me sick to my stomach for some reason especially red.) I always go for Taco Bell nachos bell grande but sub the beef with black beans and add rice so it’s not vegan but vegetarian but still a good option

McDonald's isn't vegan. At least here in Germany the word vegan is protected so they use plant based, cause they cook the plant bases burgers on the same grill as the ones with meat. Same with the nuggets

Problem I face with eating more healthy is the same problem many Americans face and that is it costs too much to eat healthier. I think our government structures it that way so we get overweight and unhealthy causing us to have to seek medical help for said illnesses.

Just a warning but a lot of this stuff can’t be vegan bc most fast food places use shared equipment, cooking oils and containers, cooking utensils, etc. For example I didn’t know McDonalds fries used BEEF salt, so do your research if you’re actually trying to eat vegan!
