I agree with you! Cream cheese frosting on carrot cake is beyond the best. I once didn’t have enough sugar to make cream cheese frosting. But I was able to make a simple syrup and add it to the cream cheese and vanilla. And it’s the only way I make cream cheese frosting for carrot cake now! The smoothness and sweetness is delectable. So delicious!

Hey Sammi, I found some cake mixes in my pantry that are about to expire so these recipes are timely for me. I've made the banana cake before and that frosting is the most delicious and the BEST trick to make an easy decadent frosting. I've made it with lemon, chocolate, and banana pudding, it's the best. I love starting with a cake mix, lots of things come together. I used to use Betty crocker because of all the flavors. Their mixes are now 13.25 ounces instead of 15+. My favorite trick is to poke holes with a wooden spoon in a lemon cake and fill with lemon curd from Trader Joe's. I then make a homemade cream cheese frosting. You get little bursts of tangy lemon, so good!! I have tried other brands of curd and they just are not the same. Everyone thinks you are amazing! Highly recommend.
