I plan on getting a bare table set for a UP route that would run along side my light rail route. I already have 1 Nippon Sharyo P865/P2020 model and I still need 14 more to pair them up for the LRT route (5 3-car sets). I still want to get overhead contact wires for it too. The problem is I need space for all of it.

You have too many 48's? Any chance you could part with one?
@jimwebster42675 жыл бұрын
I didn't know they had 48's with modern TTX paint scheme, I have the set with the old TTX scheme. I rarely see 48' Maxi III's in videos or in the real world but they are still out there, I have a set on my intermodal, I put my few 45's and 48's in them and a couple 53's on top.

I bought the 48' version in the BNSF paint scheme recently. I love 'em!

@rogerking28015 жыл бұрын
they will haul 48'-45'-40'-20' on the bottom. and up to 53' on top. also I noticed some brand names are not compatible with each other. like walthers and athearn containers due to lug variation.
@richardcolemanjr37495 жыл бұрын
Athearn makes a lot of intermodal containers but no open tops, flat racks or even the 20' and 40' tankers. I see a lot of the Schneider ones. Maybe a 5 unit spine car and metal Mchenry couplers are coming someday.

Is there anyone who built from an Athearn Gunderson Maxi III with 5x48' articulated wells, a version with shortened 5x40' articulated wells? Hopefully in the future, Athearn will bring out shortened Maxi III's, like Walthers did with the rebuilt Thrall and Gunderson well cars.
@Rogerwatersfan915 жыл бұрын
I wish the model manufacturers would do some models for us that model the mid 60s to the early 70s. Those cars are nice though.

Has Walthers released their 5 car intermodel set yet? I think you said you order 50 sets. 😁
@EverythingTrainsMedia5 жыл бұрын
No they haven’t they should come out n this month! I plan on reviewing these on my channel Everything Trains13 check me out, and maybe subscribe. Plus I reviewed the 40ft long version of these, that have more detail!
@rayrr20135 жыл бұрын
@@EverythingTrainsMedia thanks guess I waited to long to order some. Athearn Maxi l definitely have better details than these.
@jlwii20005 жыл бұрын
I did order a bunch, but then cancelled the order. I've got too much going on with Intermodal.
@EverythingTrainsMedia5 жыл бұрын
Okay, intermodal is my favorite along with autoracks. Also could you do more reviews on Walthers stuff? It has been a whil since you did a Walthers Proto train car review, maybe on the new 5 unit all purpose well cars. Walthers Mainline. Also can’t wait for the next announcements and Arrivals video. I tried doing it, it is just to much work to put in for my small audience.

Also someone needs to make Cn’s GP9RM’s we need some of those.

I cant get past the plastic light weight bodies ! I have tons of problems with my non cast cars falling of or even tipping from double stack. They are very authentic looking but the weight ordeal stops me !! Great review tho !
@jimwebster42675 жыл бұрын
I barely have derailments but when something goes off it is usually my very light plastic Atlas 53' articulated Thrall well cars. My solution is to put the lighter cars at the rear of the train or open up the bottom of a container and add some weight to it.
@schmidtw9005 жыл бұрын
@@jimwebster4267 I do that right now !! Keep the cast cars at the front and the plastic packs at the rear !! Weighting is one thing I really need to start doing with all of my rolling stock ! !

James mistake in Title - 48' not 40'. I got similar but 40' in Maersk paint scheme. Mine are RTR too, but are much more stunning detailed! See my video here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/emGzqIGch5dkqpo
