mmm.. some very important moves are missing. The biggest ones are Counterattack Water Strike and Silk move Dash Breaker to avoid damage. The Spin move is not so good, it better switch to a powerful two-hit combo Impact Crater. And of course you completly skip a different playstyle name is Courage Hammer, but it's only appears in Sunbreak

Yeah slugger is always a good go to. I always like to just go high attack with hammer... you don't really need any stamina management or anything fancy tbh, just go oonga boonga and forget about the rest

@@KingRobRool I'm finding myself a bit irritated with the slowness of the attacks but I was heavily invested in Dual Blades in World because I like mobility and control of my dood at all times. I hate CC used against me.

@Odbarc yeah hammer ain't really getting any faster with skills. If you like the dualies though I recommend giving insect glaive a shot! It's not AS fast but it's something that's deeper and rewarding to learn. If you don't want the bug stuff sword and shield is surprisingly a lot of fun too.

@@KingRobRool Actually I randomly choose IG to play through Rise and love it. I hate how the controls are a little bit different in World so I can't seamlessly switch between them. I find the DB to be significantly worse. I get hit so much more often and I can't seem to fight effectively (against most monsters, and dominate a few effortlessly). The hammer just seems a little weird to have a "Roll to recover faster" with a lot of it's attacks. Also with the "Stop eating, smacking your lips, wiping your hands" when you can roll out of the animation too. Little little peeves that peeve me harder than they really should. Like not drinking the potion after I tell him to drink the potion with the quick menu. And then failing it a second time in a row. During a fight.

I normally use the hunting horn as a main but I don't seem to focus on the buffs or healing myself with it anymore as but I've already upgraded my weapon and wanted a veery simple weapon that does alot for damage no complicated guide stuff I just wanna Bonk the monsters but idk if I should change up my main as I memorized the hunting horn moves and know how to play good with hunting horn

Always good to switch up your weapons! It reinvents the game for you and everything will feel fresh. I definitely recommend it. Plus hammer is really easy to get the hang of so it should be a smooth transition for you 🙂

@@KingRobRool Ty as I found no use of trying to use the hunting horn if I almost never focus on the special gage to do the infernal melody and when the monster is down I quickly have to press does buttons to then Bonk the monster he usually gets up before I have the time to do all the heavy hits

Yellow mode can be good if you're going for status effects or applying elemental damage as the spin attack hits many times. But no I don't think there's really any downsides to staying on purple. Totally up to you how you wanna play though.

Kinda missing the switch skills, water strike instead of side bonk and lunge bonk that keeps the current charge instead of aerial bonk, oh and btw, when you KO the monster you have enough time to do big bang all the way and then a charge cancel to yellow charge into impact crater lvl 3, that's the biggest damage combo out of a raw KO, with 3 wirebugs you can do impact crater, strong charge bonk and impact crater again, does a lot of damage, more effective with wirebug whisperer 3, for any monstrr I'd recommend water strike since it's a free roar punish followed by a golf swing every roar for some sweet damage And there is also the switch skill charge: courage instead of strength, it changes your blue hammer into a blue hammer with different mechanics, it makes it so your charge attack and combo into another charge attack, and so on, as for current rise this style pales in comparison to strength charge, however, that is bound to change with the sunbreak expansion

Make sure you're in the yellow hammer mode, charge your hammer up to level 3 while moving and then release. You have to be moving or it won't initiate it.
