Hello, I have an i9-14900K (SP 115 in P-Cores) and I have tried to do an overclock simulating that it is a KS, that is, 6.2Ghz two cores, 5.9Ghz all the P-cores and 4.5Ghz in the E-cores. I used this video as a guide, and it has worked almost like a charm for me. The only difference I made with the video is that the Asus multicore enhancement has the option to limit it to 90° and that is why I preferred to disable the TVB. The only thing that puzzles me is that the speed of 6.2Ghz is almost never reached in both cores (much less frequently than the 6.0ghz turbo when it is stock) and I don't know if it is due to lack of voltage, I tried it with a change in the load line, a slight increase to 0.04 in the V/F point 11 and it just continues to behave the same way. I understand that this turbo happens in very specific situations, but the fact that it almost never happens (considering how stock behaves) is what I want to solve. Any ideas or suggestions on how to improve this?

If you want to get 2 core boost for games i dont think you can get it.. in every game i tested p cores wortk at same frequency. only thing that works for me is overclocking all p cores on the same clock speed and that works every time.

For the record nobody actually gets the speeds he gets, nobody replicates these settings and succeeds, he’s telling people how to overclock and then says don’t copy these settings

100° c ... really ??? and do u find anything, satisfying, doin dat ? quite useless, until your goal is just to reach 6.2 for minutes or to kill your cpu, coz ... yes i can ! 😂😂😂😂 comeon, useless video at all ... undervolt and overclock for a, lets say 5.8 and 60° c ... this would be fine.

lol... 6.2GHz for what? Under load it's 5.4GHz?? With a max of 315w That well over 253w rated by intel. Until they drop the voltage fix we can't really push the chip at all imo.

I have been using an 8700k for the past 5 years or so, on an ASUS motherboard, so I was pleasantly surprised to see that a lot of this looked familiar. I can understand how these settings are a guide for how everything works together, and will be watching this again to hopefully get a good understanding of what you are telling the hardware to do and why. I don’t think Intel was using Power and Efficiency cores when I was learning how to overclock my i7 8700k, so that is something new for me to learn about as well. I will be building / upgrading with an i7 14700k, although to start with I will likely want to undervolt and underclock it, at least until I see how well my cooling works and how fast my ram can be while being stable. Considering that I am coming from 8th gen and six cores, even a slowed down 14700k will be significantly faster at everything!

@alexko36217 ай бұрын
@@followsamurai-7182 In principle, you do not need to overclock the 14th generation, only undervolting. Why is that? Because ordinary mathematics tells you that a 0-1% increase in performance in real-world tasks is not worth a decrease in processor life and an increase in power consumption of 50-100 watts. The 14th generation has already been overclocked to the practical maximum performance of the processor core. Further increases in performance are only possible with a new architecture, and not through overclocking. My advice to you is that it is better to buy yourself a DDR5 7000MT/s-8000MT/s, this will give you a much greater performance increase than useless overclocking of the processor.

"Guys, any tips on how to reduce temps? I just bought a 14700K, and I have the latest BIOS with microcode 129, but I am a noob at overclocking and BIOS settings. So, I just used the Intel fail-safe settings with everything on auto. However, when I stress test with any software, the temps are reaching 94-97°C on the P-cores and 78°C on the E-cores. The max Vcore voltage on HWInfo is 1.49V. This looks pretty dangerous, and I don’t know how to reduce temps and voltage without sacrificing performance. Does anyone have any tips or a link to a video discussing auto settings? I don’t need overclocking; I just want it to run cool with the performance it’s designed to deliver."
@SebaztienHawke-ci5hm21 күн бұрын
I’m not an expert on these new CPUs - or any others- but I do know that default and auto settings often jam a lot of extra voltage into the system as the simplest and crudest way to remain stable. I think most tweakers will try to lower the voltages a small amount at a time, testing for stability before continuing. People report being fast and stable at between 1.28v and 1.3-something, so that 1.5 of yours is extreme. But like you can see in this video, there are lots of aspects in the BIOs that work with each other. Personally, I wouldn’t stick with “AUTO” for everything, as it’s probably causing all that heat, although 95 degrees is within what Intel say is acceptable, iirc. Besides from customizing your voltages and overshoots, don’t forget about the actual cooling in your system. It’s unlikely air cooling is sufficient and a radiator over 280mm is recommended, I think. And you need to optimise your case fan layouts, make sure they are blowing enough air when under load, have a positive pressure in the case, and make sure heat is getting out as freely as possible. One fan at the top rear won’t be enough 😅 I hope you work it out or a helpful person with some specific advice can help you out. GL!

I saw the 5950MHz you made for 7950X as i was curious if AMD has regular people running at 6GHz yet That 292W 100C at the end 😆 Interesting seeing the differences with modern Intel OC is compared to Ryzen
