5 Minute Overclock: Ryzen Threadripper 3990X to 4500 MHz

In this video, we’re overclocking the 64-core AMD Ryzen Threadripper 3990X CPU up to 4500 MHz in 5 minutes or less by with the EK-Quantum Magnitude sTRX40 water block and by tuning Precision Boost Overdrive.
I’ll speed run you through the BIOS settings and provide some notes and tips along the way.

Your tutorials are so easy to understand and follow. Please make one for the 3800X on a Gigabyte motherboard. I did one time ago but I doubt is optimal and my 3800X silicon is pretty good so it should be able to do more.

my 3990x runs 4.3ghz stock... on air... Also, I believe the 3990x is limited by CCX crosstalk, Core to core memory bandwidth is the bottleneck, not core speed. High speed memory to feed local cache is your best bet to increase performance. Even then the Infinity fabric saturates at 3.9 ghz, (on a well binned 3990x)
