I have an old "laptop-in-the-box" PC in my master BR and I use it as a HTPC. I Ali-Expressed myself a new fan for the unit, and although it's not exactly silent under a workload, it's actually quieter than the projector's fan so there it remains up on its shelf. Sometimes miniaturization outweighs sheer prowess. Dig the tee shirt! Keep up the great work!

I have a similar BeeLink running my web hosting stack, and it's been awesome! No annoying fan on my model, which has the Celeron J4125. Got it as a "review" piece via Amazon. It's been up for 147 days consecutively. As you said, great little test environment!

OH YEAH !!! Nice !! Maybe a stack of these in a cluster would be a sweet setup say 6-8 of them :)

Good one for home assistant. If comes with decent storage and ram maybe around the price you paid is fine. Otherwise I would go with the TinyMiniMicro corporate ones. They are more powerful while being still low powered.

I got a little mini-desktop like this from an auction where an small office company was going out of business Got the thing for like $50, it had Gig Ethernet and USB 3.0 Connected it up to my gig switch and connected a 2-bay Orico 3.5" Drive Enclosure with a 4TB HDD in there to the USB 3.0 and boom, it works perfect as a little Plex server

Currently running an Intel NUC with an 8th gen i7 I believe......256 SSD with a 750gb 2.5drive. Great thing running Proxmox for docker and what ever else I might need.

I actually got one of these with dual network cards to run my pfsense instance, wanted something low power and small dedicated machine. Well 2 now, as the first got damaged in a lightning storm, killed the network ports but the pc itself still runs haha. It seems to be stable for over a year now of running pfsense, though the fan on it has seen better days. They have a weird Intel NUC fan on it that has a longer then average connector which makes harder to find a replacement for, only issue I've had with it. Will run some games quite well when I was testing it with stuff like Minecraft, TF2, the older fallout games, Valorant. I got the GK55 model.

Got a Beelink Gemini x45 for $71 off eBay in December since I couldn’t find a raspberry pi 4 for under $100 and haven’t looked back.

You should check the new Beelink GKmini. The price/performance is really great!

Hey would this be a good server to run your docker Minecraft server setup in (for about 20 people)? If not how much of a better processor should I go with?
@RaidOwl2 жыл бұрын
This should be fine for 20 people but if you could snag a more recent CPU then you may want to. For the price, though, this is great.
