Phil definitely has one of the most insane voices in metal, from high pitched hair metal squeals, to deep growls. My favorite Pantera track Is "By Demons Be Driven" with one of the best metal riffs ever, which sadly is very over looked by the reaction community. Would love to see Lex loose it over that one 😎🤘

A massive sound system isn't even required unless the venue size dictates . You get Real instruments, real amplifiers, real speaker cabinets. In a small club that sounds Massive even without an enormous PA system.

"5 minutes alone" is exactly him talking about kicking someone's ass. It was actually a father of a kid that went to see Pantera and got beat up in the pit. The father said let me get 5 minutes alone with that Phil guy, so Phil wrote this song .

If I’ve made one mistake in my life, it was saying to myself “Pantera will come around again. I’ll see them next time.” Then they broke up. Then it became “Dime will come around again.” Then he got murdered. Lex (and Brad), do yourselves a favor and go to the next metal show you can. It’s an amazing experience. And one you won’t regret. For God's sake, y'all NEED to react to Floods by Pantera. It's got something for both of you, trust me. But don't watch the live performance that's out there, Phil was so drugged up and muddy that it's hard to truly appreciate the song in it's glory. Instead, listen to one of the lyric videos, it'll help a LOT. One of Dime's best solos, and the outro is legendary.

The story behind this song is we were opening for Megadeth, and there was a guy that was flipping us off the whole show and so we stopped the show. And I was like, 'Listen, in case you haven't noticed there's 18,000 people who really dig what we're doing. You're the only one doing that stupid shit without even having to egg the crowd on.' Ten guys just jumped the guy and beat the shit out of him. His dad called the manager after all the lawsuits and this and that, and basically said, 'Give me five minutes with that Phil Anselmo guy. "Harsh vocals." Gritty, strained, distorted, etc. Phil can sing cleans, scream, lows, highs, etc. His diversity is one of the things that make him so good as a vocalist.

Good interview floating around with the singer talking about his past, and he was like “how dare you” kinda thing. So this happened where he was getting sued, for an incident that happened at a show, and they try and throw shade at him. The father was angry and said ill beat him up. Kinda like 5 min alone with this guy. And he talked to someone from Pantera, (and said no…you don’t want that.) And the song came out from that. In some way.

ozzfest '96 giants stadium, nj. during pantera's set i was in the pit, close to the front stage rail. to my left were a skinhead lookin dude and a linebacker lookin black dude, he was huge lol. they were both dunk as hell and headbutting eachother hard back and forth. the heavier each pantera song got, they harder they headbutted eachother. the next thing i saw was after a hard headbutt, both dudes had split eachothers' heads open and they both bled out from their foreheads down to their eyes. they looked at eachother and said- dude my fuckin head hurts!, then they bust out laughin, gave eachother a bearhug and we continued to pit lol. every metal show ive been to always had a huge metal crowd and there were homies in the pit with us. the moral of the story is- music doesnt give a shit what color you are- we're all brothers of metal \m/

Pantera is great music for many different moods and activities. For me it helps while cleaning and when super angry because punching ur boss in the face is frowned upon lol. A lot of older music were designed for listening all the way thru. Especially vinyl. That is why songs fade out or have long intros. So the real experience is when u put the album or cd or whatever on and listen track to track and then you usually understand the title of the project. Love yall. 👍🏼💜🙃🌙💪🙏🏻
