The mistake I make is number 3 and 4. I play Very solid and Win small stake SnG daily, but I get upset about variance when I make the right play but the opponent hits his 3 outs and bust me out. I try to remind myself that "I also got Lucky many times before, why the others cant get luckly? Why Just me?" It more of a ego problem, and we need to work on It.

Great video 👌🏻 but do you think at the low mid stakes that no 1 applies at this level , is balance necessary or can we exploit players by ONLY 3 bet jamming a tight value heavy range as in big mtt fields they aren’t going to have enough hands on us anyway ? If so at what level/ stakes would you advise to start using and implementing these hands into a steal range , thanks 👍🏻
@BBZPoker
@BBZPoker 4 жыл бұрын
You will find more spots to exploit in low stakes games, but you will be leaving lots of money on the table if you remove the bluff component from your 3-bet Jamming range!

Nice video bbz...I think all are great...I think tournament selection is very important too...you must understand every tourney is different structure and volume of people...so you need to be a smart business man when your selecting your tourneys to give your self the best shot..to cash or ship....bountys hypers turbos late reg...large field..short field...gonna be smart in selecting..

sweet ok so what do u reccomend i do because im pretty sure my downfall is im overly aggressive and way too much of a calling station like i call down with bottom pair 50% of the time facing no more then say a half pot bet... But tbh i really need to go back and view my results and honestly its a toss up wheather ive lost or broke even calling the river bet with bottom pair and A high crazy as it sounds...
@grimshawr
@grimshawr 4 жыл бұрын
For #2, I feel like you glossed over the math a bit there. For people who don't know, if Villain bets 1/x pot on the river, you need to be good 1/(1+x) of the time. If phrasing it that way sounds confusing, remember this: They bet 1/4th pot, you need to be good 1/5th of the time. They bet 1/3rd pot, you need to be good 1/4th of the time. They bet 2/3rd pot, you need to do a bit of math. 2/3 = 1/(3/2), so you need to be good 1/(5/2) = 40% of the time. Keep in mind, this is all in a vacuum. The more you know about your opponents, the more you can deviate from this.

BBZ . i have been playing poker for for arround 15 years. the biggest issue i have is deffently to stay focussed on the longer tourneys. been to one final table after 7 hours of poker my mind was litterly raped and i made so bad plays ended at 6th. any suggestions on how to work on my focus ? i have just been played some quicker formats the last few years because it makes no sense to play a tournament where you know you will play like shit after 5 hours

I see a lot of the coaching, I watch many of the streamers and it's all interesting and makes sense, however as a causal player none of the play is relevant. For example ranges, I play anything from $11 to $60 buy ins. I can tell you a 3x bb raise eliminates no ranges at all, 42 suited is still calling, 67 off is still in and I'm talking mid position, not in the blinds. So while it interests me it really only applies to +100 by ins where 90% of players are capable of folding pre flop, where a 30 bb shove is only racing / dominating or crushed by AA or KK not facing a 22 call or JQ suited which of course is very live. I mention the 22 because at points the shove is an icm move to avoid a race with 77 or allowing them to set mine.
