There are some flops to check for sure. It happens more often BTN vs BB than EP vs BB due to the weaker opening range.

Are these middle / bottom range open a good idea in lower stakes (sub $20 buy in)? People will defend any two and not fold to a small c bet. Furthermore most of the game is played sub 50 BB and It feels like torching your stack to play marginal garbage hands.

Lex is making a lot of money at the bottom of his opening range. As are most winning players. Meta-games tend to under-3-bet and under-check-raise and etc. So he’s making a lot more than GTOW’s EV calc would suggest.

In most meta games the bottom of the range makes more than it should at equilibrium. This is offset by the top of the range making less. The net result of players 3-betting/check-raising/over-betting too infrequently. Lex is a big winner with the bottom of the RFI range as are most winning players.
