The shape of that scimitar was absolutely beautiful in profile. I love how it comes to a highly effective point, one could pop another person's ego like a balloon with it. I wonder if the swedge is sharp ? If so, it would make a wonderful forward/reverse chopper or head lopper. A forward thrust would definitely create a superwide wound channel. I am curious about the integrity of the handle along with the type of tail hidden underneath. If it is a hidden full tang, they did a beautiful job in styling the handle. It is aesthetically pleasing but will the handle pass a structural integrity test ? If so, then it would be a wonderful unit to own in any knife/sword collection. That combat bowie also looks very interesting, I didn't notice the tang, the handle is quite interestingly made especially with the possibility of using the hammering end. It would also appear to be able to drive stakes into the ground and hammer pegs in nailess constructions of various items. I do love that two handed spear/sword/machete item you had in the last video and showed again today. It is a wonderful concept, a kind of bladed multi-tool that serves many functions. The trick with stainless steel is the temper of the steel itself. I really like the European Sandvick steel found in Nordic and Germanic and even some Slavic blades. I have about a small handful of fixed blades and bowies made of 420 and 440 that maintain unbelieveable edges. Buck knives are usually made of stainless, Schrade has used stainless in many of their past blades with great effectiveness. Buck once invented a process by which they would take a glowing hot knife and drop it into a supercooled environment to make a nearly indestructible steel but the problem was sharpening the steel which was a laborious process and required diamond abrasives or India stones. Their knife The Buckmaster was a great survival knife but was impractical for most people due to sharpening and it's extremely heavy weight. It could chop pennies and nails in half with one swing.. There was a lot it could do amazingly and was designed for the Navy Seals. They followed up by making bayonets for the military starting with Phroebis I and Phroebis II, then someone else started making them. I used to own a Buckmaster and would love to find one in mint condition. Actually I have owned three in the past. You could throw it and if it didn't stick it would knock someone out or break some bones. I also carried a Freedom Arms boot pistol in one of the pouches on my trips into the boonies. Oh well enough for now, I know you are a very busy man. Well I pray God's blessings on you, your family and your friends ! Take good care now ! A friend always ! Love you, brother !

That is so interesting, Peter! You are very knowledgeable. I wasn’t able to tell the tang of the scimitar without taking apart the handle, and the handle had an additional weld on the bottom to keep it from being taken apart. I’m pretty sure it is 3/4 tang and screws into the pommel, but without taking it apart, I’m not sure. I had the same problem with the Bowie knives, but based on where the blades are pegged in, I’m pretty sure they are full tang. But, I tested them both out pretty well and they seem very solid. God bless you too my friend! I hope you have a wonderful week!

I like the knife and the sword. the sword might be little bit too heavy, on the other hand wide head of the sword would allow for good cuts. the thing is why not give the blade a full fuller not just for esthetic purposes. then it would probably be light and agile enough to be used in more realistic scenario. I really like the flashlight stun gun. stealthy, can work as an actual flash light. the only problem is that as usual illegal in my state. one thing though the question is how often do you need to charge it.
@Karatemart2 жыл бұрын
Hey Bart! I agree with everything you said. Those stun guns don’t need to be charged very often. They seem to hold a charge for a very long time. I guess I would just do a 1 second test every once in a while to make sure they still have a strong charge and plug it in if necessary. I hope you are having an excellent week, my friend!

The scimitar was unusual but my fav was the bowie, now all you need is a Commie bastard to test it on, just like Rambo. I remember the film starring Alan Ladd called the Iron Mistress that was the first time I ever saw a Bowie. Apparently Jim Bowie didn't actually invent it but copied a bladed weapon from the French/Spanish frontier men he encountered? I was fortunate to get my hands a on a batarang money clip the other day, I suggest you check them out they are quite cool. As usual next week guys.

Loved the Scimitar. I have found it hard to order a new blade online. I prefer to handle a blade before I buy, because the blade's balance is the most important thing when buying something for defense. It also matters how you were trained. I was trained to prefer a sword with a slight bias towards the tip of the sword. Love Weapons Wednesdays.
