hey, can you add a "top 5 nicest npc's" countdown? here is my personal list: 1. I like the argonian chick from chorrol (who greets you when exiting either the mages or fighters guild) the most and I feel honored to rescue her from the clutches of people who look like beggars and bring her (and her horse) home and get a good discount from her mother. 2. For a guy that fights in the arena (and an orc to boot), the Gray Prince is probably the nicest orcs in the whole game in my opinion (unlike that Yellow Team nord, who is a complete bitch) and I feel kinda bad when I complete his quest and I have no choice but to straight up kill him without a fight... 3. I remember there was an Inn not too far from the first dark brotherhood quest location (another inn) and ,once inside said inn, I talked to a female kahjiit, which I don't remember her name exactly but the first letter is R. She begins asking me for help with a "thief" who stole her jumbo potato, which, btw, happened to be an ogre. after turning the potato in, she treats me to a few bits of her famous potato bread. 4. Ocheeva, leader of one of the mages guilds, has a big heart for people and you all should know why. No? well, here are my reasons: 1st of all, she hates seeing people having some sort of conflict, which is proven in the recommendation quest when she gives you some persuasive spell scrolls. 2nd, she is very caring about her friends and their well being. & Lastly... 5. Baurus, the guy from the beginning of the game, is at the bottom of my list because of how he might not survive the Mythic Dawn Cult ambush and how he treats your character at the start of a new game. He was a little pushy at first, but as the game went on, he began to trust you and let you use a torch to light the way through the halls, and eventually, he saw your potential when the Uriel Septim dies. Thus, if you gathered the 2 katanas used by his comrades, he made sure they will be honored when he reaches Cloud Ruler Temple. let me know if you can!

See, I love the Order of Virtuous Blood quest. There is a slight glitch however, where if you're a vampire Seridur will say "Hello, brother." Kinda spoiled the plot twist lol.

There's more of a thing with it; during the quest for the Mage's Guild, to appease Janus Hasildor, you need to remove some vampire hunters and a group of vampires. NORMALLY, you'd just be able to chuck that dust straight at Roland Jens-Eric's face for a nice 250 septim in return, but if you try and turn that specific dust from those vampires in, you are told "go kill some vampires and bring back proof". This vampire dust has a different weight than "regular" dust, so code-wise, it counts as a completely different item, and Roland Jens-Eric won't accept it.

There's one other little thing I really liked about Order of the Virtuous Blood: In Oblivion, high elves are weak to magic. Vampires are weak to fire. Seridur is a high elf _and_ a vampire, meaning he is _extremely_ vulnerable to fire attacks, and since I always play a destruction mage on my first playthrough, I had plenty of fire spells to use on him. Taking advantage of elemental weaknesses is always fun, and it was extra fun in that quest, because the weaknesses were so apparent. It's very satisfying to see 90% of an enemy's health disappear with a single spell.

Without a doubt, my favorite quest in Oblivion is the Dark Brotherhood contract where you have to murder all the party guests without anyone knowing you were the murderer.

I have always found that quest to be overrated, simply because they all have 1 HP and the quest doesn't play out any differently if you kill them all in creative, secretive ways rather than just walking up to them and one shotting them in in view of the others. It's a great concept that was poorly executed.

Great video. And damn, Oblivion had amazing quests. You should probably make yet another one of these because there are so many good quests. The one where you help a village of invisible people break their curse, the Anvil manor one, abd most of the Dark Brotherhood Quests honestly :P And if we count Shivering Isles, there are some amazing ones aswell. An investigation where you travel with a guy that can torture the peope being interogated, helping ghost soldiers break from reliving their last battle over and over again, playing dungeon master and driving a bunch of adventures insane with puzzles... man i miss Oblivion ^^

I forgot all about that quest with the goblins and the village etc, that was crazy!!! Oblivion had some cool quests, and made use of some things that Skyrim should have used a little more. They did have that quest where you start driving and end up in I think it was markarth? And then there was a cool one like that when you first arrive in solstheim from what I remember. And I forgot all about a brush with dead too! This game was awesome !!!

It sure is lucky that Rythe Lythandas just so happened to have bottles of poison for creatures he claims he didn't make. it's also lucky that the Bosmer "thief" that "made the trolls" was killed by his own creations can you imagine how hard it would have been if he was making more enemies like a normal conjurer. This Bosmer would be like an oblivion gate in the way he spawns monsters but it still wouldn't be too hard to handle... my bigger problem is that when I did this quest again recently I noticed just how easily all of this could have been a cover up. my theory, a Bosmer thief found out Rythe Lythandas had a secret and was going to blackmail him. Rythe trapped him in the painting and needed a story to cover it up he staged the whole thing. and on the plus side for Rythe this did wonders for his sales, not only did people talk about the "kid napping" but the empires vary own tax payerfunded propaganda: the Black Horse Courier did an piece on it. Yup, so making sure everyone knows about Cheydinhal's famous painter is what the empire takes the Begger's bread money to pay for... Heck I wouldn't take anyones money for that it's stupid and the Oblivion NPC's will actually talk about it weeks possibly months before the Black Horse Courier finishes that news...
