@@Nightmare13113 i just wish the devs added a way for the game to read the latest save file from oblivion to make Sheogarth at least the same race and gender and maybe even mention some of the side quests you completed. if they want to have this kind interaction between two games there really should have been more attention to detail. maybe just keep the default sheogorath if the game was unable to locate your oblivion saves. on a console this would be pretty standardized and even users using steam are likely to have both games installed in the same library so the directory structure would not be hard to find.

Omg, yes. Beem saying this for years. Oblivion npcs are by far the weirdest, most neurotic, and highstrung of any videogame. Their little snide snippy voices, always wearing tights and looking down on you. Its not intentional imo, but oblivion is low key one of the funniest games there is if you look at it a certain way or appreciate campy shit.

@@theace8502 To be fair, IF the end of the quest doesn't bug out (it bugs like Sheogorath himself coded it, I swear the one time it fired the last part correctly was on my PS3 GOTY version)... Farwil gets scolded by the other knight if they both survive, and he solemnly tells you he's learned to be more careful and think about how his choices can get others hurt, and he does sound sorry (as much as an Oblivion NPC can manage, given the alphabetical VA recording). So, yeah, if the scripts don't break before the final two scenes fire, Farwil actually admits he's an idiot who cost his friends their lives and he has to be more responsible, and as far as canon is concerned, in The Infernal City novel series he does stick to that new promise to be careful and responsible with the power he has. Sounds more like he needed a wake-up call and a better example of leadership than his dad who's doing such a shit job I'm getting flashbacks to joining Hlaalu in Morrowind.

Because Umbacano wasn't himself. When he put on the crown, he was possessed by an ancient Ayleid king who only saw you as an intruder trespassing on his land.

While I whole heartedly agree with the choice of Lex, after talking to everyone in the waterfront, I'm kinda shocked that they didn't just kill all of them with no trial... none of them have provide services or products and they're literally all in the thieves guild and they all openly boast about it in front of guards... Arguably the only people who do anything are the pirates who attack anyone if you step on their ship and the bloated float which tends to harbor criminals... Lex would be able to draw out the Count Umbranox if he had just wiped out the waterfront. heck if it were like roman times he could force prisoners to compete in the arena for their freedom... It's harsh but realistic. I will say, it bugs me that there are beggers in skingrad... that is they height of Pompous Fools because at there is always work to do, even if it's just giving slop to the prisoners (actual job they give you in skingrad for a thieves guild quest...)

Easiest way to keep Farwil alive, avoid him. Clear out the gate and when you're transported back, he is still alive.

What I loved about oblivion was that adventuring had alot of value here. My favorite past time was to look for oblivion gates just to get some fun fights BUT when you experiment with magic so much that you KINDA break the game, it gets funny xD i mean making gear that has a very strong detect life or gear that reflects ALL magic makes it funny. Just wish there was more people to kill though

I honestly always make Farwil and his friend essential when in the oblivion realm. With my experience they always ALWAYS fall in the lava at least once when following me. It never fails. It's so aggravating. So I just make them essential and make my own way through the blasted thing and meet up with them once it's closed. The follower ai in that game is so janky, but I love it anyway haha.
