Batman the merciless can easily be compared to Kratos from the God of War games, because both Batman and Kratos took the mantle and title of the God of War from aries. both eventually kill the entire Olympian Council. and both Batman and Kratos went crazy and killed the people they cared about. ares brain washed Kratos into a killing his wife and child, and aries helm twisted bruce's mind into killing Diana there are so many similarities here it's not even funny.

At no point during that DC Metal Comic does it say Superman killed everyone, I don’t think it’s even implied. Especially since after Batman kills Superman with the doomsday virus he comments on how it’s suddenly changing everyone, but it’s too late because his planet dies shortly after that. This Superman is crazy and murdered his wife, and a lot of people in Metropolis (there’s mention of him tearing down buildings just for fun), but he doesn’t kill everyone
