Story 1: I can't seem to get past the fact dude was drinking in front of his brother. Your brother is going thru the struggles of trying to stay sober, you don't drink in front of him, even if it's your house.

Back in the 90s I was struggling to give up the demon drink. I went clean for almost 2 weeks and my then boyfriend went and bought $300 worth of booze. Beer, wine, spirits. He didn't drink, he was just a @rsehole, he put all that booze all over the house. You couldn't look anywhere without seeing a bottle somewhere. I held off for 3 days and then I drank the lot. Took a while but I got through it. And of course he got to complain about how weak willed I was. Haven't seen him in years and am no longer an alcoholic. Yay.

I agree. Tbh the guy in the first story kind of sounded like a tool. Calling the other people in prison scumbags yet his brother just got out of prison. For some reason his brothers reasons were ok but everyone else is a scumbag for being in prison? Buying storage units. Just profiting off of the misery of others.

He seems selfish in general, thinking his brother is the only one who wasn't bad in prison. His brother wasn't a good guy. He made the choice to get drunk and ended up ending someone's life due to his selfishness.

Serbian story reminds me of one of the stories I've heard on here where a guy was going through his deceased grandfather's old war stuff and found a letter that he hired someone to translate for him. Finds out his grandfather had a shady past and wasn't always the sweet guy he had thought him to be.

Honestly i started feeling sick when the story came up from the Jugoslavian war. Im Bosnian so i recognized right away what it was about. I dont think the body's were moving. I think it was their conscience that was bugging them. Ofc your going to get scared when your killing innocent people. And the fact they were calling them "turks" just shows how awfull those people who did the killings, rapings were.

I guess that's exactly why the Serbian guy in the story called it cursed, it was a horrible conflict with reasons we thought we wouldn't fight for again after what happened in WWII, yet it happened. I went to Perućac right on the border between Serbia and Bosnia, and I was shocked to hear that the lake probably was the biggest mass grave in Europe, made me feel really sad.

OMG 😳 I felt sick too ..my grandfather was Hungarian and the Serb and other parties took my grandfather and others to a school which they turned to a jail .this guy was in luv with my grandma and lied about my grandfather.....my grandma and other women had to wear scarfs took food can only see the men for few minutes.. Then my grandfather tried to tell my grandma with cherry pipes leaving 3 seeds She had no idea what that meant...it meant that the men were going to be taken in 3 days some were ..my grandma was in her early 20s with 3 kids Turks sleeping all around her land doorway ..my grandfather was taken and all the men .. NEVER heard from ...was told they put and killed everyone in mash grave ...the ones that escaped NEVER ever talked about it ..😔😢 one man did say my grandfather did want to to save his family So we never got answers till this day 😢😔 We tried for years through red cross everything .. papers were miss placed destroyed ect ..we WILL NEVER KNOW THE true HELL that went on !! I REplayed this one a few times ..

There is something called cadaveric spasm which is when the muscle stiffens during death and can remain into rigor mortis. I'm not educated on this subject, nore do I know how it works, but perhaps the movement could have been caused by this phenomena, even if it's rare? I read on wiki it is associated with violent deaths.

I love Craigslist stories. Your Craigslist stories are a bit different from other stories I’ve heard. They’re mostly buying something and the person was sketchy, sometimes a babysitter gets a job with a sketchy employer etc. While I do love those stories yours are deeper and more intense. I lived in Munroe Falls during the Craig's List murders. I remember seeing a photo of Beasley and Brogan Rafferty together. Brogan looked EXTREMELY uncomfortable. Like he didn't want to be near Beasley at all. I totally believe Beasley said he would hurt his family if he didn't cooperate. My son graduated from Stow-Munroe Falls High School in 2000, so they never met. I hope he's OK.

Last story: my guess is that he had drug issues before he headed to Mexico...which were made worse by some kind of scam; he upset the people who were pushing the drugs (one way or another) and fears ramifications, so pleas amnesia to free himself of worry or blame. Ditched his stuff in a rush and went in the lam until he could get home. The "ranch" needs serious investigation that it probably won't receive. Thank you for showing some of the darker side of recreational drug use lately and the flawed recovery process (no, it doesn't work for everyone, not getting hooked in the dirt place is better).

I remember watching a video on KZbin of Richard Beasley's daughter. She was the one who set up the craigslist account not knowing what her father was using it for and she met up with one of her fathers victims' sons to apologize. She felt extremely guilty like it was all her fault those people died.

I really enjoy listening to these Craigslist stories. It's such a sad thing how some miserable humans seek out those whose lives are already challenging only to prey upon their vulnerabilities. That takes a particularly evil kind of person. Because of these kinds of accounts, I am extremely cautious about using Craigslist and similar sites.

Yes as long as you use caution in is a great site. I got my two wonderful cats from Craigslist. We met the people at a gas station in broad daylight with lots of people around and had no problems at all. Just have to be careful and not go alone or go to someone's house.
