To story 6…. In the last six months or so, I’ve lost my best friend from age 5 to 22 or so, my mother (who I was very close to and did a wonderful job raising me and my brother after my dad walked out on us when I was 6), and an eight year relationship came to an end two months after my mom passed. - Sometimes I feel like I would be fine with the planet being nuked to hell, but that’s just the (very understandable) depression putting that thought in my mind. My dog, video games, and stuff like exercising and Let’s Read gets me through a lot of days. I’m hoping with some time I can get back on my feet and do something in this life that my mother would be proud of. I hope your friend is at peace in whatever comes after this life, and I hope you’re doing better.

That story is very sad ,I feel the same life just didn't turn out the way I had planned. I am disabled so that changed everything for me. I worked at a craft store and an older guy fell straight over and hit his head on the sharp edge of a display shelf. I didn’t see him do it, but I heard it and we all went running over. I had to run to the front to get paper towels and hold them on his head, as he was bleeding out. We called the paramedics and contacted his family. He had just passed out and fell over. He came in about a week later and thanked all of us for helping him. That was scary but I’m glad he was ok after that.

The most hardcore thing I've witnessed in a grocery store is one of my buddies suffering from a sudden drop in blood pressure, fell over and knocked over a literal pyramid of over a thousand Kinder Surprise eggs. That story still makes us laugh when it's brought up among my group of friends. The insanely big mess and the faces of both he and the cashier after realizing how big the mess was are just engrained in my head. Hilarious stuff!

In the story with Barry the cop really dropped the ball there, he could and should have had Barry evaluated mentally as well as banned him from the store so that if he even came to the store he would immediately be trespassing/arrested. It’s very disturbing that he was allowed to continually go to this place of business and threaten the manager with no legal recourse. The gall for the cop to act surprised by Barry’s lack of medication/being off his meds.
@southernladyish
@southernladyish 2 жыл бұрын
Cops can’t do everything… I’m not sure why they get blamed for so much these days. They can’t go against someone’s constitutional rights. Or even the law for that matter. The manager also didn’t ask for Barry to be trespassed. It sounded like he was a regular customer. He just had bad days and good ones. Its not really to lay the blame on one person. He also said he had learned a lot from that situation. He didn’t give context as to the time period this happened either. Mental health hasn’t really became a topic until recently. So if this took place in the 90s or even early 2000s, of course no one really knew what to do. The cop also tried to keep an eye on him and from his story he tried to help the guy. He even went to his home to talk to his sister who seemed to be his guardian. Cops can’t really force someone to take their meds nor is it their job to do so. Technically, I don’t even think he could have arrested the guy (nor should he have considering how much worse that would have made Barry) without a trespass issued or an assault. I completely disagree with your comment. He seemed like he was a good cop and genuinely cared about his community and his job. As far as “the gall” of him reacting to Barry not being on his meds.. he’s not a medical or mental health provider. How would he have known this?
@dahliacheung6020
@dahliacheung6020 7 ай бұрын
Yeah for real. He said he decided to write this story to show how clueless cops really are with this stuff but it's like.. Dude, we know. All of us "citizens" know that you cops are neither knowledgeable about or equipped to handle mental health related conflicts. As soon as the manager and Barry were introduced in the story I knew one of them was gonna end up dead.

The retired cop's story is very good! I would love to hear more stories like his!!! His story of Barry hits home too. My sister is schephrinic and she is so much like Barry except her medicine doesn't really help her much at all. My aging parents are taking care of her 24/7 and there isn't the type of treatment facilities in the United States that are needed. If there are, they often are extremely expensive. I'll end up having to take care of my sister when my parents pass away. My sister hardly listens to my mom. She definitely has problems taking orders from me (her younger brother). Mental health in America is shunned upon. People are so mean to her condition.

It's a shame that the police weren't able to find the driver who hit Michael and just drove off. I hate it when things like this happen and that the police can't find the suspect. They make it so easy on shows like CSI, just dust for prints, find the make and model of a certain vehicle, etc. But unfortunately it's just not that easy and chances are that the hit and run driver will never be found. I hope if it hasn't happened yet that karma finds that jerk. I wonder if he even knows that he's a killer.

As for the third story, I'm glad that the manager is not the one who ended up getting killed by that guy. I'm glad she had the presence of mind to buy protection for herself, otherwise he probably would have stabbed her to death and went to a mental facility and got out and continued on with his life and she would have been dead.

I was just at Kroger about 3 hours ago, picking up prescriptions. I'll never think of Kroger the same again.....

Whats that? Cops doing nothing until someone is hurt? That sounds about right.

I feel so bad for op who lost their friend Mike. I'm sure he would not want you to blame yourself. It was just a crazy fluke accident and heartbreaking but he would want you to live your life and enjoy it I'm sure. Please get some grief counselling and find a plan for you to work to in order to feel better and optimistic about the rest of your life plans. Seize the day for yourself and Mike.

The original Grocery Store stories vid you made the couple years ago was the first video I ever saw on your channel. It was back when you had footage of that one game with the rainbow pixel gun as your background. It’s awesome to see how much your channel has grown and improved over the last couple of years. Keep up the good work!

These were great! I giggled at the word “sacker .” Yeah, immature I know. I feel awful for the person who lost Mark. I hope you’re doing ok On another note, I saw The Brothers Grimm on the Chilling app. Being half German I was given that book to read from my mom as a small child. Thanks, mom

The grocery store i work at is a doozy. I swear it's where all the mental people go. Everyday there's ratty people walking around outside, going up to to people. "You got a dollar?" "You got a cigarette?" "You got a lighter?" Every day! One regular goes as far as following people into the store asking for money, and when he gets kicked out goes as far as walking up to some parked cars in the parking lot, and if someones in it, he'll knock and ask them. Two of my managers got punched in the eye in the parking lot on two different occasions. Theft is a constant, and so is having bummy looking people trying to pick flights with the cashiers. I swear its like the place was built near an outpatient loony bin. But it's never a dull moment there and i swear the police place bets everyday on whether they're going to get a call to head there.
